What do you think of a woman with these kind of shaving habits?

I have never shaved my legs, and I never intend to start. My leg hair isn't hurting anyone, and it doesn't bother me. I feel like many alternative lifestyles and points of view are accepted, so why not a woman who doesn't shave?

I feel like it would be a hassle. If I shave once, I'll have stubble, and since it doesn't bother me, I don't feel like I should go to all that trouble just to blend in.

I shave my under arms because it makes it easier to clean them, and I trim below the belt with a scissors to keep things neat.

Many people would think I must be some kind of social pariah because of this, but actually plenty of men flirt with me and none of them has seemed to notice. So this got me to wondering--is shaving less actually getting to be considered less strange than it used to be?

It's just a social standard that women should be shaved clean at every inch on their body.
I would say your behaviour is fine.

It's kind of like social standards and the second someone goes against them, everyone considers them weird. One time to test it out, I pushed a shopping cart backwards through the whole store and I got so many weird stares. If a guy shaves his legs, he's considered gay, if a girl shaves her head she's considered a dyke. It's really quite sad actually but it's kind of strange to me because it's like accepted that girls shave their legs lol, I don't know why.

I don't shave either. I've been against it ever since I learned that either the razor or the shaving cream industries (forgot exactly which) wanted to market their products towards women, so they began a series of ads that told women that they'd be less attractive if they had body hair. And so an entire generation of people bought into it and it's been the norm ever since.

It kinda reminds me of how Jaws made an entire generation of people afraid to swim at the beach... Just goes to show that you can manipulate the public's collective mind to believe anything. Kind of a scary thought, actually.

How dark are your leg hairs?

(I've never felt like such a creep.)

They're about the same color as my hair. Sort of a medium brown. But in the summer they're lighter because they et exposed to the sun.

Nope, I wear shorts. Female leg hair is just not always as thick and noticeable as everyone seems to think.
