It's hardly unknown that giving such a forward compliment is only appropriate within certain predefined relationships.
In a romantic relationship? More likely to be ok. A stranger? Creeper alert. In the workplace? Sexual harrassment.

No, because you still haven't explained "why". You've explained _that_ it is socially unacceptable to compliment a woman on her butt. I already knew that.
But _why_ is it unacceptable? What is so bad about it? Why would I feel wonderful if someone complimented my butt, and a woman would feel offended and violated? Because I have a penis between my legs? Doesn't sound like a sufficient explanation to me.

I have blue eyes, myself...and usually don't wind up going with anybody that doesn't have blue eyes, either...but I think that is purely coincidence, since eye color is not the primary thing that I look for...I prefer personality, then intelligence, then, if possible...her face...but I certainly wouldn't have a problem going out with someone with green eyes...that's a quite normal color (but I WOULD be afraid of going out with someone with PINK eyes...conjunctivitis??...no thanks)...
I think I might be different than most guys about this but my favorite thing about a girl is her personality. Looks matter for sexual attraction, but I like a girl I can get along with and has good personality.

Her indefinable sense of wonderment. Girls dig indefinable things. Also call her postmodern because that, in itself, often defies exact definition and applied to something you've already referred to as indefinable gives you indefinable squared. And that's hand over sweater action, baby.

Also, mix it up, and call her "very definable" just to see what she does. If she gives the you stink-eye, be a feminist and make her a sandwich. That's what feminism is.
Eyes. That way she'll know that you actually pay attention to something that allows you to really connect with her, rather than just some part of her body.
You could also compliment her on the way she moves (gracefully etc.) and the way she just "is".
I don't really take in compliments about my exterior because I don't think the person complimenting me gave much thought and must not care that much. Telling a girl something that she has never heard before will make you stick out in her mind.
This is actually something I think about when complimenting a girl. I mean I'm pretty sure girls get a lot of compliments on their appearance, but their personality is something that actually shows you connected with them in some way. It shows that you actually pay attention to them. But even so I'm sure there are plenty of girls who get complimented on their beautiful soul. It's just the better of the two.
I think girls probably get enough compliments on their looks. So I'm going to go with their personality.
A lot of this would depend on how intimate you are with the girl and/or relationship, but personality, intelligence, smile, hands, hair and eyes and clothes/fashion style are usually accepted by most women, assuming they will accept a compliment...for the others, I wouldn't recommend those unless your relationship is either married or intimacy is high...
Figure out whatever she finds fault in and tell her its not true. Since most women hate themselves and its very sad. Women should love themselves. Tell them being unique is better than being common.

Yes.. I know many women that do nothing but say they are ugly and worthless and everything they hate about themselves. Yet what they say is never true they just do not see any value in themselves which is a real shame. You just know a bunch of bitches and that isnt any better but they shouldnt hate themselves either.
You're too compassionate about women and their feelings. What you could do instead is use their insecurities for your benefits. A woman with self esteem issues is easier to persuade into having sex with you because she has lower standards. Men should exploit that as much as they can!
