What do you prefer cheesy or funny/rude chat up lines?

What type is more likely to get your attention (even if it made you slap the chat'ee)? Has a chat up line ever worked on you? Do you enjoy them? Do you have a favourite?

Cheesy, is that a ladder in your tights or a stairway to heaven? *yuk* 6
Funny, I wish you were a stamp so I'd have an excuse to lick your face 20

  • Every girl I've heard talk about this has said "I hate pick up lines full stop"

Men always have the wrong impression that they have to have the right things to say, that women are all super confident and they need to match that. But I can say without a doubt that women and men are exactly the same in these areas. The woman in the bar is often as nervous about how to approach you as you are her, sometimes more so. Pick up lines make many people feel awkward and "put on the spot" when thrust upon them. The best way involves no talking, and has a zero percent rejection rate as you know if you're in or not before you make contact. This allows both individuals to avoid rejection, and make a clearer choice at their own pace. The way I've always done it is through eye contact and body language. For those in the know, the pick up occurs before you've even spoken. You simply make sharp eye contact on and off, if she moves closer, you move closer. You then end up ontop of each other.
