      nothing you just said sounded the least bit odd. your pressing a life you don't yet have, and until you do successfully find what i will guess to be a girlfriend or wife, you feel depressed.

    i'm sorry, but we need to guide the future generation. we live in some tough times and we need to teach them not to make the same mistakes we did.
    oh, and we need to teach them the importance of acceptance and tolerance of other lifestyles. society is changing, people. we need to teach them that. along with other things, of course.

      I find the apparent aspects of this generation to be quite unsettling. the world may one day become joyless, with entertainment as an overwhelmingly diversion. i pray for those who keep sacred in their hearts what is real.

    I'd like to say I'd live for love, but nowdays that's an almost unrealistic concept. On the off chance you do find someone you love the love is either faked for selfish purposes, returned in a different way you'd like, or not returned at all. There are few exceptions and I say good luck to them, but in general love is a very hard thing to exchange. Too many people are lustful or just plain ass greedy.

      i had no intent of putting the option of freedom. freedom is a concept that is only taught, with or without intention. you wish for the one thing nobody will have in this world: control. freedom is where you start, if you live to finish with freedom, you have done nothing. i respect your answer, however.

        Interesting, so if a slave is not taught freedom they would not want it.

        Ok gotcha...

        For some starting life with Freedom is not a given, in fact they fight all their life for Freedom and live for nothing but...that imo is a bit more than nothing.

        I respect your response as well, seeing that we obviously have two different perspectives coming from two different places.

    The only reason I really have to live anymore is to take care of someone I love. Sometimes I worry that I might kill myself when he dies.

    I live for my daughter, soon to be two daughters. But I also feel like I have so much to contribute to the world. It may sound a little crazy, but I have already changed many lives with my words of wisdom and understanding personality. I've been thanked many times.

      there is a difference from pride and feeling accomplished. you have the privilege of changing pride to an accomplished feeling, and constantly doing things to be proud of. your not crazy, you have learned what can only be found with the potential you are born with.

    My answer is exactly the same as the one ItDuz gave. I don't know, either. I don't know what I want, I don't know what I'm supposed to be, and all I do know, I know by observing others. More often than not I feel I'm not there too.

    I think we come across differently here, but that's only because people don't spot the similarity.

      keep in mind that two people who read the same book both read something different. think of it this way, if you see a blemish in the mirror, obviously you don't change the mirror, you change yourself.

      so, not metaphorically, when society does something, you interpret it in a unique way. if your interpretation contradicts another, you compare the two and decide which you like. this is why you ultimately decide yourself. just make sure to key in on debatable topics, then debate based on your own knowledge. this is what you can define as "logic".

      I don't know what I want either. A few years ago I though I knew exactly what I want but none of things that I thought I wanted have made me happy. I feel somewhat lifeless at the moment but I still live for creativity aesthetic beauty.

        you want something important, but can't find important because to you, importance is permanent with wide range and visibility. it is hard to find a problem small enough to fix but big enough to be important, and that is why you should not fear failure.

        my advice to you is to set a goal. it can be one you are sure you will not reach, but you must be capable of making progress. make sure you have these three things: desire, ability, and opportunity. these are the three things you need for success, without having all of them present, you fail to progress.

              I won't say thats a completely accurate description but fairly accurate, I'll give you that. I don't like looking too far into the future because a lot of things can change in a short space of time. I prefer to take it a few months or a year at a time.

    i was back and forth between TO CONQUER.....EXPERIENCES.....and I STILL HAVE MORE TO GIVE.

    Tough question.
    When I'm down like right now, my family is about the only thing that stops me from killing myself, it would devastate them permanently.

    I choose EXPERIENCES though.
