What do you like: mac or windows?

I like apple because the operating system is SUPER user friendly for average stuff and the design is aesthetically pleasing. Windows is more tedious and it's harder for me to figure things out on it. I have had both and I like the mac operating system better but right now Im about to loose my shit with apple. Technology SUCKS!

Windows 26
Mac 6
Technology SUCKS dead donkey dicks 6

  • Have both a Windows 10 and Apple running Sierra. Windows is now a very stable operating system and years ahead of Apple in what it can do. Used to be a big Apple fan but it now feels old school compared to Windows10.

I prefer Windows, though that may only be because it's what I'm used to. I feel like it's easier to get tweak something when I need to. But it seems like they keep making it worse each version, like with all the spyware crap and forced updates. So I'm not even sure anymore, if it's a choice between Windows 10 or Mac OS.

    • My middle school had macs only. I learned that if I had a mac, I could connect to the school server from home to do all my work. The only PC I had was running VIsta and it was a cheapo $200 dell that had virtually no quality specs.

I prefer windows because you can look through them. MAC just covers up your entire face and you hide who you truly are

    WHAT, NO LINUX OPTION?!

Just kidding. Windows. But seriously, you don't know anything about tech if you don't know how to set up a dualboot rig.

    • Explain the pros to having 2 operating systems on one computer.

Being able to run different application types, for one. There are many apps that are exclusive to Windows or Mac, but many open-source apps are unique and only run on their native platform, or work best there.

Also I'm trying out RemixOS, an Android emulator OS. Could get one that works inside windows, but having an alternate OS dedicated to the task is better because it needs less memory. Rather than running Windows AND Android AND the game, it just runs something close enough to Android AND the game. The fewer "ands", the better.

Who's got that kinda money? /s

Yeah, your idea is easier to pull off, but I don't have the money or the hardware.

  • Its the minor things that I like about mac. There is little setup, some of the basic apps it comes with are good for average person usage (photos, Garageband...) and while presentation is not everything, I like the way their programs look better - Pages v.s. Word (and yes I could get word for mac but I choose not to). Do I like spending 2,000 for a mac +student discount? Hell no.

I think Mac is expensive, but for the average person's needs, I think it's the most reliable and "no hassle" option.

I understand the argument for Windows with the bang for the buck.... but it seems that no matter how nice they try to make windows computers, it just can't really compete with the fluidity and simplicity of the apple design. From the materials that they use and the compact, modern look to the simple and intuitive operating interface, it really just beats out competitors.

I think what's nice also is that you can really just open up a mac and start using it very easily. You really don't have to worry about anti-virus or anything, which is nice. For a business professional, artist, student, or just for casual use, I think that the Mac is a great option if one can afford it.

For the gamer or computer coder or someone who needs to use a lot of intensive software, I think that PC is probably the better option. For people that really know computers well, I think they will probably prefer PC most of the time.

I don't want to give Mac the upper hand in this debate because they are extremely pricey and I think the company has declined just a little bit in quality over the last few years, but even with that, I think that there is simply nothing that is as streamline, simple, and intuitive as Apple products in the computer market right now.

    • The only "game" if you even want to call it that I have on my mac is minecraft, and I hate playing it because my legs get fried so fast. If I ever do get a gaming pc it would never be a mac.

I would get everything by apple if i was rich, but i'm not. i do own an iphone but i use a PC because boy, it's a freaking rip off

if i had bought a mac with the same tech characteristics than my current laptop.. .well it doesn't exist, but it would have been $4k+ and that's just insane
