I can tolerate heat very well even though I get tired much more easily. I can barely function when I'm cold.
Heat. My hands dry out and start bleeding when the climate is cold. I have something called parasthesia, so I have to sweat every so often. Health reasons alone make me prefer warmth.
I suffered with that dry cracked bleeding hands condition in cool weather for fifty years. Finally I realized that in cool weather I absolutely do not get thirsty so I almost never drink water and I get dehydrated. When I started drinking a glass of water every 4 or 5 hours around the clock my hands healed up within a few days, and as long as I kept drinking water my hands stayed healed. Also my dandruff in my hair and beard cleared up.
I think of it as "taking my medicine" and I do it religiously, and it does wonders for the entire body with no undesirable side affects except that I have to pee a lot.
I can't stand the cold. My skin dries out, I have to wear extra layers of clothes, and I tend to get body aches. I prefer the summer because I'd much rather sweat than freeze.
I love the cold, but it makes my body ache, so I love the summer so I'm not so achey (:
I would much rather be hot than cold. When I get really cold, like upper Midwest USA below freezing my mind doesn't work right and I even get sort of tongue tied and slur my words. Those are symptoms of hypothermia. If I was ever thrust into a survival situation in a cold climate, like being in an accident, or being lost in the wilderness, or something similar, I would have to have my wits about me and take appropriate action IMMEDIATELY or my mind would start shutting down and I would perish. I've never had trouble with the heat. Many a time I've worked construction or other physically strenuous jobs all day in the hot sun with the temperatures in the high 90's to low 100's Farenheit, and felt wonderful about it, thinking to myself "what a beautiful day"!
