For me, a geek is someone who is enthusiastic about school and academic stuff. A nerd is someone who is enthusiastic about things like fantasy and sci-fi and video games. Both words connote social awkwardness. Everyone uses the words differently, and that is how I use them.
A geek is someone who gets hired by a circus to bite the heads off of chickens. A nerd is milky white, asthmatic and allergic to bread, but shows everyone by making millions and fucking hot bitches.
The interest, geek to me is more of a scientific, neurotic breed & nerds are the dungeons and dragons, star wars, etc fans.
But the lines burr on many areas. Geeks are more on the academic side, and nerds on the fantasy/ fandom side
To me they're kind of similar but geek sounds more like somebody who is really into something like science, etc. and nerd is more just socially awkward
A nerd is a blob of sugar coated in artificial colors.
seriously. A nerd to me is someone who is really good at math. Specifically math and science, socially awkward and has a strange laugh.
A geek is hyper-focused and a little obsessive about any given number of subjects and often has a high intelligence.
A dork is a geek who bring that focus to real life actions, like live action role playing.
