What do you inherit from your family? in what amounts?

With the exception of having naturally large muscles (comes from my dad who is the same), every single feature of me comes from my mother's mother. I look Welsh, like all that side of the family. I saw a photo of my grandma's nephew on his wedding day and I was taken aback. It was me. I couldn't understand what was happening. I thought I'd been married and had somehow forgotten. My mum met my second cousin in Wales while she was visiting her own cousin and she was taken about at the resemblance to me too. She thought I was playing a trick on her.

I have no clue where I got my physical features from. I don't think I look anything like my family. Although I'm pretty sure I got my teeth from my mom's side of the family- my dad and his mom had horrible teeth. My mom said that my brother inherited his paternal grandma's hair, because apparently she had really dark hair.

I inherited my stubbornness from both sides of my family, I'm afraid. I don't think that's a good thing. :(

Oddly enough, I lived with my mom until I was about 15 or 14, I rarely saw my dad, but I moved in with him around the age of 15 and I felt like I fit in pretty quickly. My mom and I never really clicked quite like me and my dad did. Personality wise, I was the same as my dad. We both are very proud and have bad tempers lol It's strange though, cause I was barely around him growing up

I got my bad skin, big nose and brown eyes+hair from my dad. Actually I don't look anything like my mother if i list it up like this.

80% of my father. I have his hair colour, face shape and body type.
20% my mother. I have her hair style and her eye colour

At first glance, I look more like my mom. But my stature and health all come from my dad.

But I have been told that as far as looks goes, I have inherited most of mine from my grandmother (who was a stripper), save for my hair being a bit darker. She used to bash me a lot for being fatter than her but Mom told me it it because she is jealous that I am a C-cup and she was always an A (I inherited that from my Paternal Aunt). I inherited my Mom's fat storage (as opposed to storing fat in my waist, it all goes straight to my ass.

My personality I am pretty sure I get from my father. We both are very analytical (OK I looked up spelling for this word and my spelling is correct but spell check is still redlining it. Fuck you google chrome.) and we have somewhat of the same sense of humor. My attitude of life I get from my Dad who is a cynic but I am also humorous like him as well. I get my "optimistic" and ridiculous side from my Mom. I am also decently diplomatic and do not like fighting or violence, but I am pretty sure, from the looks of what is going on in my family right now, that, at the moment, these traits are exclusive to me.

Also, I have a thyroid problem that I inherited from a Paternal Aunt.

I have hair similar to my mother and grandfather. I have eyes similar to my mother. I have a nose similar to my mother and grandfather. I have skin similar to my mother. I have hands similar to my mother. I have teeth similar to my father. I have bonestructure similar to my father and grandmother. I have a tongue similar to my father and grandmother. I have a chin similar to my father and grandfather. I have shoulders similar to my father. I have a stomach similar to my father. I have legs similar to my grandmother.

I've been told that looks wise I take after both my parents but mostly my mother family.
Physically, I apparently resemble my father's side. I've been told that most of them are tall and thin. My hair is "Tricolour" it's reddish-brown in the sunlight with blonde strands here and there. I have a cleft in my nose like my father, but I think my overall nose is a combination of both parents and I have dark brown eyes like my mother's.

I've inherited my mother's hair and my dads height. That's really all I think.

i don't know my biological parents. From what I remember about my grandmother, I'm nothing like her.

I guess my personality is derived from what i've seen on t.v., read in books, seen in magazines and a bit of my adoptive mothers.

Eye colour, skin tone, hair colour and metabolism: father.
Everything else: mother.

Physically, I'm really 50/50.

Mentally I'm definitely more my dad. Gosh I'd almost say I'm 60% my dad and 40% someone else entirely, I'm mentally NOT at all like my mom, or any of my grand parents. I'd ike to think I'm at least a 40% improvement over my parent's as a parent!! Well, I know I am...I'm sure of that.

The funny thing is, I hated my dad growing up and I loved my mom, and now it's the opposite. I thought I understood my mom as a kid more, and I had no clue who my dad was. Now I know my dad like a book, me and my dad are so similar mentally, yet I have had hardly any contact with him for the past 10 yrs. I can't explain that. I came home one time and it was like me and my dad 'knew' each other for the first time all of a sudden.
