What do you believe happens after you die?

When you die everything become black. And then suddenly you see a red text saying: "Game Over".

I think heaven or hell. I'm a Christian. It makes perfect sense to me that if u do bad you go to hell and if you do right you go to heaven. Its like common sense. I think if we used more of it we wouldn't find ourselves asking some of these questions. Also isnt it weird to believe that it doesnt matter what you believe bc ultimately what IS will happen. Like you can believe in w/e but in the end there is one truth and just because you dont believe in it doesnt mean it wasnt real all along. something to keep in mind.

I think whatever anybody believes in, that's what happens. Myself, I am a Catholic and I believe that I'm going to heaven. But I think if atheists think their going to rot in the ground, that's what will happen. If Buddhists reach nirvana, that's what will happen to them. That's just my opinion. DON'T JUDGE

Okay the question IS....Do you keep your Consciousness after you die?

If your Conscious self goes away then Nothing happens, you just die and thats it.

If your Conscious self does not go away then you will end up somewhere.

I feel like maybe I've had past lives on other planets.

Not to step on other people's beliefs but when you die, you die. That's all there is to it because we'll never know what really happens.

It's impossible to know because you can't die and come back to life to tell people all about it.

i am really not sure what happens after you die even though i wonder that ALL the time. sometimes i think heaven, sometimes reincaration (hey i wouldnt mind comin back as an animal, like a cat or monkey, but no human! no i dont wanna go through that whole process again :/) and sometimes i worry that me, my family, and a whole assload of other people are gonna end up in hell, which i sure hope this isnt true. sometimes i wanna think that everyone will go to heaven

i believe that you get reincarnated but u dont remember ur other life you had and you could be any type of life like you could be a plant or animal or something.

I'm Buddhist. Don't forget all of you who might beleive in reincarnation...you don't always come back human. When you have those feelings like you've been here before or you have a strong feel for a certain time period but can't figure out why...that is your past life coming back to you...lucid dreaming is another way to figure out your past lives...

You know, its best not to think about these things too often haha. Actually, i think that there isa possibility that YOU could have lived billions of lives. YOU died billions of times. YOU just can't remember it because you started a new life, and this is the only one you can remember. Reincarnation. Thats what i think and there is no way to prove it right or wrong, just an opinion!

I am between Nothing and Reincarnation.

Seeing we are conscious energy and that energy never stops but only changes form, the only question is will our consciousness be intact once our energy leaves the body.

However I do have a very STRONG belief that I have been here before, but I really would not want to come back here again.

I've been thinking about stuff like this for a few years now. I grew up with the heaven/hell standpoint and now I'm somewhere between reincarnation and 'some other after-life'. I'd say I have the rest of my life to figure it out so I'm not really worried about it, but going along the same lines as iHatemF, we can never know in this lifetime so to an extent it doesn't really matter.
We just have to make the best of THIS life and I personally will (or will not) have fun figuring out the rest once I leave this current reality.

Once you die your soul will be removed from your body and kept in a special place until you are revived in the day of judgement. After you are revived the second time you would never die again and be sent to Hell or heaven.

none of us can say with any degree of certainty what happens after death.

There was no option for "I don't believe anything because I don't have enough evidence".

I hope after I die I will reborn again as different human than my old lives on past. I HOPE that I have new looks, new life ,new family and everything new in a good way. By the mean of the 'new look' that I really hope at is prettier face, beautiful hair, cute voice and any other that actualy DIFFERENT than what I have now..its hurt 'cuz I have everything ugly on my body now...I REALLY WANTED EVERYTHING ARE MORE BETTER

this is a waste of time I mean this sounds bad but like...who cares? Millions of years have passed and none of us seem to have proof so what I'm trying to say is just get on with your lives because that's much more important right now

your conscious soul doesn't die. death isn't real, in the sense of your consciousness. least that's what i believe. death, it's not what people make it out to be. as albert einstein says.. we live in an omniverse.. earth is only a fraction of our temporal lives. and i know that we live on, forever..

I am a Christian, and in he bible it says that once you die you stay in the ground until jesus returns to the earth to judge all mankind. It also states that you never go to heaven and that you will live eternally In the new kingdom of god (the new earth)

Well... I have no real idea about it (as does anyone), but I have a possibly ludicrous , non-religious theory.

You know what it feels like to be knocked out or put under anaesthetic. Time, as perceived by you, 'skips' to the point where you regain consciousness. For example, a 20-minute operation I had in hospital was over in an apparent instant.

So, what happens when you die? You lose consciousness, so time skips forward to the point where you wake up, but when is this? Assuming that the concept of a tangible infinity doesn't exist in real life, you must wake up at some point.

But hey, it's just a theory.

ok so my aunt told me the coolest reasoning. HEAR ME OUT (caps to get attention hhaha). she told me that her friend who had cancer, had a random revelation while she was in her dying days. she told my aunt that she believed that you are placed into an area where you wait for everyone you have met to die and then you all reborn and restart the cycle. however thats not my belief but its kinda trippy right? anyways well im a stoner and this shit always mind fucks me. like how do you even know theres a past FOR SURE you usually just base it on what others/books/artifacts have told you. buttt i believe in reincarnationn, but not the same body, like i believe each life builds us up until the life where we get everything right and once we reach that perfect cycle of life we either restart in the same or different universe i dont even know kmfao

Subjects like this scare the crap outta me. I believe their has to be some form of afterlife, something has to happen after death. I just don't know what. Heaven or hell? not really. Reincarnation? Nah. Other? Most likely.

I think it will be like losing consciousness, except you never wake up. the world will continue on without you. You wont care because you wont exist. And your "energy" and "soul" will be eaten by other lifeforms and absorbed into the ground as chemical compounds such as ATP and elements like nitrogen. this will sound weird but i have a very confident belive that god or satan will judge rather you die,become one with the earth,become there servant,or get to live another life but dont remember the life you had before maybe as an animal or even a great famous person no one knows and i dont think no one will ever know its kinda weird huh?

I personally believe that when you die, your soul is just completely free from a physical form and is back with the Universe, an eternal force.

I dont believe in a heaven or hell. I believe your soul lives on even though your body doesnt, or I believe we are reincarnated. some people say I have an old soul, which is weird because somehow I feel like I have been here before...

I am catholic. The Bible actually mentions that if we go to the heaven and it will be the end of the world or some stuff, we will ressurect and live eternal life on earth. Dunno, maybe i am wrong with something i've said. Correct me if I am :)

1) believe in god, and he is real
2) believe in god, he is not real
3) don't believe in God, he is real
4) don't believe in God, he is not real

if you a betting kind of person go with number (1)... that way you go more chance getting in to heaven if it real

or on the other hand you want to enjoy life go with number (4) anything else is a bonus

i mostly believe in reincarnation, but I recently thought how awesome it would be if when you die, it really is 'The Big Sleep' and you are in a never ending dream. I know it's probably incorrect, but hey at least I don't fear death anymore.
