A couple of months ago I downloaded the class-based first-person shooter game "Team Fortress 2". I enjoy playing the game, but only against bots. I'm just too shy and anxious to play on an actual server.

I probably wasted a year of my life in total playing TF and TF2 back in the day.
It's a pretty extreme form of shyness to be reluctant to log on to a public server and play as a generic avatar with a bunch of random strangers who are also avatars. They can't actually see you, you know. If you're afraid of looking like a noob, who gives a shit? There'll always be someone better and faster than you. You don't have to pay any attention to the trash talk in chat if you don't want to.
Sometimes you just want to relax, play a game in your head, and escape, and not have to deal with real people, kinda like reading a book. Just you and your brain. Best therapy ever booj

Why not just play a single player game instead? They're more fun anyways. You can actually focus on playing without being called incoherent profanity by children.

Kind of took a break from Steam eversince I had to go with my Uncle Sonny back to Queens to wack some guy who slept with the grandma of his wife's sister's stepdaughter's niece.
