Lets see if anyone can answer this science question? I was having a debate about this with someone and they insist to me the center of the Milky way Galaxy(ours) is earth and telling me what a idiot I am for not knowing it is earth. Anyone want to answer this question? I honestly want to see what everyone else thinks.

I hope whoever said Earth was the center is just trolling you, because if they REALLY thought we were the center.... then THEY are complete retard(s).

All our planets orbit around Sol (Our sun) but we are certainly not located in the centre of the Milky Way. We are in the edge of one of the outer spirals, called the Orion Arm :) As many have said, it is believed that at the centre, is a super massive black hole. Tell your friend to look it up in any book or on the Internet :)
It depends what you mean. Planets orbit around their stars, but the stars themselves orbit around the gravitic centre of the Milky Way (Sagittarius). The Milky Way is only one of the galaxies in the local group, though, and the fifty-something galaxies in the local group orbit around their gravitic centre.
In short, things are rotating around things that themselves are rotating around other things. And so it goes.
It depends. In Solar Systems, planets usually revolve around a stars and sometimes planets will revolve around each other. Moons revolve around planets and are drawn to them by the planets gravitational pull. As a whole, the body and arms of the Milky Way are orbiting around the center of the galaxy which is believe to be a supermassive black hole.
Everybody answered already but it's the SOLar system. So tell your people the answer is in the question.
As for the Galactic Center, I know close to a black hole about it, sorry. :/
I'm sorry, but none of the options are correct, the entire solar system isn't in the centre of the milky way galaxy, its in orbit around its centre. As for what's in the center, im not sure, its pretty much a black hole, since its really dense in the centr.
