What did you think of the vice presidential debate
Since we had a post on the 1st Presidential Debate (which I responded too). Here's one the Vice President Debate.
What do you think or who do you think won?
I have what I believe is a fairly unique way of looking at debates. I track if the participants actually answer the question asked. Most talking in most debates is off on tangents.
In this debate there was 9 segements, some with multiple questions. I tracked the 1st question asked of each participant in each segment. By my evaluation:
Candidate Kamala Harris clearly answered 5 of the 9 questions asked.
Vice President Mike Pence did not clearly answer any of them (Zero). He kinda answered one, assuming certain assumptions that would only apply to certain groups of people.
My other rating is based on apparent honesty: I know a lot of things about history and positions (and I did watch the 1st Presidential Debate).
Candidate Kamala Harris said several things that I rate as questionable. I'd have to research those things to know if her facts or interpretation was correct or not (If I wish to do so).
Vice President Mike Pence said more than a few things that were clearly untrue or false. Then there were some things that I consider questionable, requiring more research by me to validate (if I wish to do so).
Based on those criteria - I rate Candidate Kamala Harris at the winner of this debate.
So what do you folks think?
