During my sophomore year in college, I lost the Bible my mother had given me as a Christmas gift. It had a black leather cover with my name engraved on it. Well, on my last day in college, after graduating, I returned to my dorm to pack my things, and my roommate told me someone had come to drop something for me. Guess what it was? My Bible! It's been ten years after that, and it's still on my bookshelf.

I took a pen no one claimed. Just a plain ol' pen. Nothing exciting.

I was inspecting RV's at a big lot in NJ, when I was considering buying one, I found a multi-tip screwdriver in the weeds by one of the units. It had been there long enough to become rusty. I cleaned it up and it is still one of my most used tools today.

    • Is it one of those ones that stores the bits in its handle?

No, it's a Stanley with a metal shaft that has a big and little either flat or phillips at the end. Pull it out and either turn the bit or the shaft around to get the size and type you want. A very well made American tool.

Or drop it in next time you are in Cuba and I'll buy you a mojito.

I got my cat. Out of the alley 12 years ago. She had obviously belonged to someone since when I took her the vet she had already been spayed. Put signs up. No one answered. Mine now, and she's the best!

Does a cat count? Back in 2005, I found a kitten. No one claimed to be her owner, so my sis and I took her in. We named her Pepper and fed and took care of her for a few months while I was finding a home for her. Eventually, one of my uncles took her in. She became pretty fat and lazy after that. lol

I was following a building contractor on a narrow winding country road when a gas powered dirt compactor fell off his pick up and landed in my traffic lane. I stopped and dragged it onto the shoulder and then chased the guy down and waved him over and told him where to find it.

Came up on a $60 pair of wireless Bluetooth earbuds in the parking lot that had been run over by a car. A couple of pieces of tape here and there but you can barely tell they were ever broken. They work great.
