What causes rogue hairs?

i shave my head. i don't let it get long. in fact, my hair hasn't been over a half inch in over a year. so it's safe to say i shave my head every 3weeks-1month. All that said, i discovered a hair like right in front of my ear, kinda on my upper sideburn, that was well over an inch long. it's absolutely the craziest thing i've ever seen of the sort! there is NO WAY i've missed that ONE solitary hair the last 4 or 5 times i've shaved my head(i'm very thorough), so i'm convinced that it is a rogue hair that just spurted out. If anyone has any insight into this matter, PLEASE PLEASE respond. thanks.

you just missed most likely a lot of hairs you can only see in certain lighting.
ps why shave your head anyway?

I have two of those on my left arm. I usually just tweeze them whenever they're noticeable.

Hah! Once I had my hair really long and when I finally had it cut, I had this really long hair on the back of my head. I remember thinking "how the fudge did my hairdresser miss that!?"

Totally normal, I have two hairs on my (female) body that are just like that -one on my chin and one on my knee. Obviously I cut them whenever they're apparent.

Maybe u did miss it. If not then perhaps u r right. Maybe it was trapped under the skin for awhile and when u last shaved it popped the skin open. Ixwouldnt be worried though it doesn't sound like a big deal
