What are your thoughts on this situation?

My mom had asked about my older brother's boss because my other brother had said something about them to me involving a situation that he was irritated about. My mom had listened over our conversations in another room from the room us two were in.

My mom got upset because I didn't want to answer and said you are so rude and hateful. I think my mom snoops too much and needs to not be so aggressive. I understand she is our mother though, we all are adults here. I think she could of asked my brother about his boss instead of me.

This was not a big deal, though she told me I made it a big deal. I think of it the other way around. We have a right to keep things private no matter what; unless it's illegal. ha

This isn't a big deal; I want to see what your thoughts would be if you were in this situation.

P.S. I do plan to speak to my mom when she is calm and in private about the behavior I see and how I feel.

    well really she cant get angry for something that she wasn't involved in, like snooping around. she should have talked to your brother not you.

    Hmm... I didn't vote because my view doesn't fall into the two options.

    I think you have made your mother more worried as you (and your other brother as well?) refused to tell her the story about your elder brother. Mom will always have an instinct to protect her children even when there is nothing she can do about it, but at least she would want to know what her babies are going through!

    Also, in my opinion, if the issue was that private then you and your brother shouldn't even mention it. So, there was no reason why your mother couldn't share it as a family member.

    However, I like how you said at the end that you will be speaking to her about your feelings. Communication is always good.

      Maybe, though I think if I had done that, there wouldn't be enough to the story to understand.
