the government can go to hell in my opinion, they ruin more than they fix most of the time.
That is very true! The men up on top manipulate those down below. Sitting on top of those piles of money and making themselves even richer. This is how the stories go with all governments be it an emperor or a king or communism or democracy. The ones getting screwed are the ones below paying the taxes that climb ever higher. Some politicians even accused of embezzlement and missing funds that they can not account for. They can treat us like dirt and take a vacation whenever they want. Yet we need something keeping order. I believe that the cops and firemen and the military should make a government.
I'm a conservatively liberal communist who likes the authority of anarchy. And a little bit of a pirate.
Someone once called me a misanthropic narcissist, I liked that. I would also classify myself as having hedonistic tendencies.
I'm green party or democrat.
However, I have been reading about how the elitists are trying to depopulate the world, and it's the middle class they are targeting. I have never been one to be convinced of conspiracy theories, so I am feeling rather paralyzed because I can't find any other explanation for the chemical companies trying to poison the earth and take over the food supply, using chemtrails, and also controlling populations using immunizations. If this were a movie we would all rally and fight, but they are being somewhat stealthy and underhanded so the masses don't take notice and just continue in their confortable and distracted lifestyles, vaguely wondering why autism and autoimmune diseases are on the rise ... Is resistance futile?
I don't believe in any government. I guess you could call me a neutral anarchist.
IMO, what's considered liberal and what's considered conservative varies from country to country.
Here's my take on things. It doesn't matter what your political beliefs are, all politicians are corrupt.
Just look whats running around in parliaments today D:
I would vote for semi-radical left/social parties and authority is the way to go.
I used to have fairly clear political beliefs on equality, rights, socialism etc, etc.
However in the last 20 years the political parties can hardly be told apart with regards to their practices. Politics has become so much a game of power rather than speaking for the people or trying to run a country. The now appears to be no definitive authority that I can consider speaks for me and my views.
We have become a paternalistic society, so over protective that we are unable to make our own decisions on our lives and the way we conduct them (examples would be health, eating, health and safety issues). Yet our Government has also become so weak that it is unable to act decisively to protect communities.
I am neither a conservative nor a liberal, I'm a moderate. Nothing in excess, right? I don't like being in either extremes. When it comes to social policies, such as stem-cell research, and abortion and gay marriage I bend towards the left, when it comes to governmental and economical policies, such as trade unions, I bend to the right. Also, some random side-notes that might not be related, anarchists for the sake of controversy or just illogical anarchy and hippies irritate me a little. Just a little.
It doesn't sound like you are a moderate, it sounds like you are a Libertarian to me. Don't be afraid to vote that way! Real change, Ron Paul 2012!
I dunno... I always thought that Ron Paul was a bit too conservative to be a libertarian.
Well, I don't follow politics a whole lot, but he seems to be too conservative on some social issues to be a true libertarian. And doesn't he keep switching between the Republican Party and the Libertarian Party?
Well, like I said, I don't know much about politics...
:/
If you're in the U.S., you'd probably most agree with the Libertarian Party. It's the largest third party, but unfortunately, it's still a third party.
Libertarians have liberal social views and conservative economic views.
Canada: I find myself torn right now between Liberal, Green, and NDP (New Democratic Party). Our government created this thing called a vote compass - its an online test you would take (multiple choice) and at the end of the test it tells you where you are on this compass - some people are in the middle of nowhere lol and some people are smack dab on a party. It was interesting.
I think it is important to take care of people that cant care for themselves, but there are limits. Free health care is a must. There are some things that tax payers should pay for and some things they shouldn't. I think the environment should command alot more attention than it does (in Canada anyway). I also think that a sustainable jobs/careers initiative is important.
I wish that more people were paying attention to politics than there are. So many people in Canada didnt vote and their reason was "Nothing will change anyway" - great idea, lets give up another right.
I have changed my mind a few times, depends on the Country's current situation and needs - who do I think will make Canada awesome.
Please give a reason why you believe what you do. This poll is intended to teach people about other political philosophies.
Economic Socialist, Social Conservative, Statist.
