When I was in high school I always went for the most attractive girls regardless of any other trait, but that didn't get me anywhere. Most of them turned out to be bitches anyway. Now I go for a combo of attractiveness, emotional, good sense of humor, thinner body shape, free spirited, and shorter than myself or about the same height. Tough girls and party animals have always been a turn off, but that's just me.
The traits I find attractive are smells good, looks good, financially stable, good sense of humor, tough when he needs to be, in touch with his emotions, somewhat open minded and free spirited, fiercely loyal, intelligent, educated, shares the same religion I do, has good morals and values, does not abuse drugs or alcohol, healthy mind and body and of course an animal lover. I'm sure there's more I can't think of right now.

I prefer my boyfriend. He's kind, sometimes an ass but I need to be put into place too. And he smells good, super super funny. I would say he's open minded, and faithful. Also my bestest friend.

Modesty, if it's genuine. I've been trying to find the word for that, because it's what I'm drawn to, and I think it's modesty. Not necessarily shyness, although I guess that tends to go with it. Argh, now I'm finding it hard to word again:S.
Aside from that, having humour, being open-minded, considerate, sincere and intelligent are all very attractive. Appearance wise, there are things which tickle my fancy.:)
i just cant seem to find a girl that i can really love or be loved by i feel like my life is over...
Don't give up hope; I felt similar to how you felt but trust me, right when you're at your lowest, someone is going to come along and catch your eye and you guys will hit it off. Love is one of those things that people go looking for, but no one really knows what love is until they experience it, that's why it's never planned. It will just hit you by surprise one day, and it will be worth the wait.
