What age is it appropriate to shave your vagina hair?

im asking this because my 12 year old cousin has asked me and my faced had just dropped. i didnt know what to tell her so i just said ill tell you the next time we meet, so i want to tell her the right answer before she has to ask me again.please give me a good idea what to say,i dont want her to do anything bad or wrong! thanks

    I think the reasonable answer is "As soon as you feel that hair is getting in the way".
    There's woman who are gladly bushy down there, and man who like it.
    There's woman who feel "cleaner" when it's not hairy there(especially if you use pads during your period). Also if you go swimming in a bikini, i'd imagine it's nicer to be smooth(rather than worry about hair "showing", so to say).

    All in all, it's primarily a matter of personal feeling and perceived hygiene. Only secondarily does it carry a sexual aspect.

    I started shaving the hair shortly after it started coming, as in the beginning that fluff/fuzz(dunno the proper english word) was interesting but ultimately, i liked it better smooth. I never had hair longer than a few millimeters there in my life, and gladly so, and it didn't become sexually relevant until 2 years after i started shaving.

    So if your 12 year old cousin wants to shave, that's perfectly fine(aka normal) if she feels better that way.

    If it's embarrassing and she feels like it, sure. But warn her that it itches like hell when it grows back.

    Only if you want to. The way you're talking about it it's like there's no other option.

    Most young girls shave. Most older women don't. Makes sense, that young women shave and young men are afraid of a girl with a bush. Damn kids today are scared of their own bodies.
