I've called my dad "dad," since the age it became creepy to call him "daddy," but my brothers and I have been calling him "Fasha" since Austin Powers, Gold Member was released.

I wasn't raised with English, so I've never uttered those words in that context.

I wasn't raised English either, I'm an American. So no "mummy" here either.

I would never have guessed this. Your English is far better than 99% of IIN so I just assumed it was your first language.

      Edit: having read Couman's response...did I misinterpret?

Hahaha, no. You've read it right.

I predominantly spoke Wu and Mandarin when I was younger. I'm not British (I'm a kiwi - formerly Incomplet) so "mummy" and "daddy" are used but not often, anyway.

I knew you were incomplet :) didn't know you were Kiwi or had a Chinese background, though, that's cool :) I just assume everyone is American :/

You're one of my favourite people on here and I don't know shit about you :/

I do :) if you ask Autumn, she'll give it to you. I don't trust half these freaks.

    28.
Mummy and daddy = more playful good times. Usual. Happy.

Mum and dad = really serious talks only.

    • I was just thinking about this post the other day and now someone’s found it. I originally meant when people transitioned to “mum and dad” not first names so I’m glad you got that. It does seem that if someone still uses mummy and daddy after their mid teens they will likely never stop.

I will always call them that. I can't use their first names when speaking to them because it just feels weird.

  • I still do and always will. I tried to call my Dad by his first name one time it was really awkward. Also he said don't ever call me by my first name again. haha.

Your dad sounds like a cool guy. I'm sure me and him will get along just fine.
