What accent does the geico lizard have?

Probably most Americans think he has a British accent, or don't think about it at all....but I need to know, what IS his accent?

Do you know?

No fucking clue. 17

It's a made-up accent, I am positive of this. 4

I don't believe magical lizard talk. There are of voodoo and trickery and voice of man is heard but not seen.

It's a central London accent (so, yes, English and British) and I'd say it's voiced by a Brit. If not, it's a very decent impression.

YES. Tell us about the different accents! I'm not being sarcastic. I am 100% here for this.

He is voiced by Jake Wood and he is English. He said it is a hybrid of Cockney and London accents.

Jake Wood the ginger Eastenders cockney? Wow, if it's him, it really doesn't sound like him.

It's weird. I went and watched clips of him and, yeah, he sounds the same. It's funny how he sounds all avuncular when he's a gecko and different when he's beating his brother up (as he so often is in his soap opera).

It's British and his name is Martin. I love Geico commercials, when they're funny.
