The pretend country in my head where I am the absolute ruler is my favorite!
Switzerland: wealthy, capitalist, known for human rights, and socially progressive (https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/23/us-news-world-report-the-top-10-best-countries-in-the-world.html)
I would have said why there a few years ago but after the coup hopefully they are heading in the right direction.
Japan. It’s a fun and lively place with many places to visit. Including Monster cafes, animation/food museums, food stands, temples, gardens, etc. Seems like a whole lot of fun.
You have to be an American. There is a lot I like about the USA but... the gun laws are a licence for lunatics to indiscriminately kill innocent people; The health care is probably the most expensive in the world. It's hard to pick one favourite Country, France for the food and the beaches. Italy/Switzerland/Austria for the scenery. Spain for the weather and the beaches. Canada for the wilderness. THen again there are a lot of places I haven't been yet that might become my favorite for another reason
Ok mate im just putting this out there, the gun licenses to carry are for people to protect other people and there livihoods along with themselves, its the criminals who have guns and dont care about the laws in that matter who are the problem, and having men and women legally carry is having at least one more person there to stop said criminal before they can hurt innocent people. Now if guns werent even in the u.s or were super regulated they would just use other devices such as explosives. Wich in actuality are not that hard to make what with our ease of access to information and products. They xould even use the classic gas attack. Even easier than explosives. Now im not putting down your beliefs here, i get it, just maybe try and look at the bigger picture, and try and get your facts from non biased sources, on either side. I do admit in some ways guns are 2 easy to get, even a fellon is able to get firearms with ease. Had one in my family growing up. He only had a 22 but the point remains. But when it comes down to it guns are not thd problem. People are. More people die and get injured to cars yearly than by guns. Its not that cars are a problem its the people driving the people not fixing roads or trimming crops or just that one pedestrian not pauing attention. Us as people need to improve not blame the tools we have in our life
Try Iceland! I ... honestly can’t think of any detriment to it, unless you dislike the cold.
I recently went on a trip there, and had the time of my life. It was amazing.
If you’d like to visit somewhere geographically similar (but more tropical), I suggest you visit New Zealand or Australia’s Tasmania (at the risk of deadly animals everywhere).
I know it can seem intimidating to outsiders, but Russia really isn't as scary as people make it out to be. I go when I can to visit family in Vladivostok, which isn't the most fun place, but St. Petersburg and Moscow I've found quite enjoyable. One thing I've had my grandmother point out however is that at restaurants Americans tend to say thank you a lot more often than normal (ie. once you get drink, then side dish, then main meal etc.), so keep in mind if you go just one thank you will suffice and seem more genuine.
Poland, the beautiful shithole.
/s It's a nice country, with some trashy bits. I just like the architecture, tiny streets, and rivers.
Honestly, depends on your income.
How well you adapt to cultures.
What kind of weather you're comfortable with.
Id summer in Germany.
Winter in S.E. asia or Spain.
Party as needed in holland or Brazil.
Japan. I like their values of hard work. The younger people have common sense in the areas where some Westerners lack it.
If only the rest of the world (Middle East I'm looking at you) would follow their example of the declining birth rates.
Also, they're a great example of how fucked up entertainment and pornography don't effect people as much as censor-loving Westerners would have us believe.
They're generally quite non-confrontational. While their conformist values may cause some unfortunate problems, Japan is quite safe and peaceful.
Some parts of Italy are awesome, especially for those who like food. I've been to the canary island's which is heaven (half because its tropical beauty, half because of the food (again)). If you wanna feel spoilt and don't really follow along with tragic events in the world/have a large sense of morality, then go to Dubai. London is nice if you like cute cities. That's all I got.
I'd say you could only enjoy Dubai - or anywhere else in the Middle East, for that matter - if you have absolutely no comprehension of what's behind all the gloss and glitter.
As for London being "cute"... Um, yeah, that's definitely what I'd call Peckham, Brixton and Tottenham.
