I never get peoples sense of humor. Especially the low hanging fruit type. Like if I say whats up out there and theyre like "hm lemme check. Looks like just the ceiling". I dont understand why people laugh at that. This seems to be a very popular sense of humor too.

Another one I cant laugh at is the insulting type of humor that black people like to do back and forth where they roast eachother. It gets awkward when people tell these jokes because they look at me like I'm gonna laugh and I just stare at them. I do not possess the ability to fake laugh at stuff I dont find funny. My autistic tendencies hold me back from that. Theres some people that are so nice but I avoid them like the plague because they think theyre so funny and its just awkward.

    I love to do the ceiling one. It's funny because it's the literal interpretation of "what's up" its unexpected thus funny... since that's what a joke is supposed to do. If it's not your cup of tea then fine, but simply not understanding the joke is another matter entirely.

      The "literal interpretation" in jokes is funny for kids up to 6 or 7. After that it means they're not learning how sophisticated and beautiful humor can be.

        I just laugh at random things. The unexpected or the absurd. Like a cop getting shit on by a bird.

      Another example if I were to say "what kind of car do you drive" and someone responds "one with wheels" I get why its supposed to be funny but those jokes are always really predictable and not creative. Theres nothing surprising about its just really low hanging fruit. Oh well. Everyone is different I suppose.

    Yeah it's just lame. I'm all for sarcasm but at a certain point it's just being an insufferable jerk. I can't stand people who make a joke out of LITERALLY everything. They to me seem rather stupid and I would never confide in or take such a person seriously. It also comes off as extremely insecure and desperate, like "please look how funny I am!!". People like that always have a smartass response to everything and then they turn to look at you with that "please think i'm funny"-expression, actually pausing and waiting for you to laugh. Yeah I know the type well, it was pretty much every single nerdy anime guy I went to high school with.
    So obnoxious.
