Weird phrase repitition habit

Ok, so quite recently every time I hear a phrase/name/sequence of two or three words I invert the beginning letters or sound between the two/three words and repeat it in my head.

Example: I'll be watching TV and someone says the name Matthew Jarnell, I'll say Jatthew Marnell in my head pretty much straight after it.

I'm not sure if I'm doing it to see what it sounds like or what, I just wanna stop doing because it's getting awfully obnoxious.

Omg, my brother and I used to do that all the time when we were younger! I hadn't done it in ages, but I caught myself doing it recently.
