Weight/height controversy? iin?

These days alot of controversy is surronding obesity and weight. This led me to ask what weight iiners are, and whether the statistics are represented on iin. So, what is your weight and height? Is It Normal to wonder this?

5'10½" (179cm / 1.79m) and currently twelve stone seven pounds (175lbs / 79kg). BMI measurement puts me right at the top end of the normal weight range, but BMI doesn't take into account muscle mass or body type (neither of which I'd describe myself as average for) so I tend to discount BMI.

I have been overweight in my life, though; I was flirting with obese as a 13 year old. Although I don't say it much, I always think it's obvious here from the way I am. I might not guess it about myself but if told it, I'd say "Ohhhhh! Now I get why he's like that".

In fact, look at my first paragraph and my defence of my BMI. Kind of speaks volumes!

5'1, 107lbs (female, obviously) and apparently underweight according to body fat percentage, but I'm fit so I think it just doesn't account for muscle vs fat. It's absurd that some people here have been told they were fat when they're very underweight for their height. I have been getting frustrated with 'vanity sizing' lately, though. I get that it'd feel nice for the bigger sized ladies to fit into a size "6" but it's getting difficult for a lot of petite ladies to find clothes small enough/proportioned correctly. Just goes to show how obsessed our culture is with percieved thinness. If you're happy and healthy, reguardless of a number on a scale or a tag, you're attractive. 'Nuff said.

I really don't think size or height matters. People say I'm thin, I say they are fat. I can do one arm press ups and full planche press. Not many people can hold their own body weight. It's all about cultivating strength for your size.

I'm 5'3" and 98 pounds. It's not seen as healthy but I've always been 'slim' and I'm perfectly healthy, hardly ever ill. I eat fine, just struggle to keep weight on. However, I think no matter what size a person is, as long as it isn't a serious risk to their health they should be happy the way they are :3

Approx. 5'4".5 and 132 lbs., 20 year old female.

I have never been overweight, although my diet is not totally healthy and I do not do serious exercise.

Undoubtedly genetics plays some role. My family is a family of working Irish/Italian women who usually retain their figure until they have kids, at which case they experience some weight problems but no where near obesity.

The way my parents fed me probably played a role. The only junk food that I got on a regular basis was the snack pack and snack chips that I packed with my lunch. Everything else was once a week or bi weekly, my parents were big on portion control.

Nowadays, unless I am pmsing, stoned or starving, a regular sized bag of chips can last me for about two weeks, even if I eat from it regularly. There are times at which I can clear a cake in a matter of days but that's the limit for me.

No, he is 2 inches taller and over 60 lbs heavier. Also, I would like to think that I have a nicer face and that I am less murdery.

I am closer to Carmelo Anthony. He is only 1 inch taller and 10 lbs less than me. Plus we are both black.
