Weed vs alcohol

Both are incredibly stupid! I seriously have no idea why anyone would ever smoke weed! It's gross, gives you wrinkles, bad breath and makes you high and look stupid! So if you want people to hate you then I guess you could do it but Ew. I can see drinking on special occasions but defiantly not every day!

Alcohol is worse than weed. Yes that's normal. All potheads will agree. I smoked pot years ago and 'alcohol kills, pot doesn't', it's normal to think like you.

I think that both are dangerous if not taken in moderation so as other things...you can't really compare both of them as people has more access to alcohol it would definitely have more cons, although Alot of people smoke weed it's nothing compared to alcoholics...but I'm pro weed so why not smoke pot.

Weed is only a gateway drug for certain people in certain situations. For example:

My friend smoked weed very often, but he got into a whole bunch of trouble with the police. Eventually, they put him on probation for THREE YEARS. Well, my friend still wanted ways to get high, but he couldn't smoke weed anymore because he was constantly getting drug tests. So, what did he do?

He turned to hard drugs like acid and ecstasy because they cleared out of his system faster, and therefore would not come up in drug tests.

Well, probation might have gotten him to stop smoking weed (barely, he still does it every so often) but it also gave him an excuse to move on to different drugs.

Personally I only smoke weed and I'm a casual drinker, I've only been reallly tipsy. But it doesn't make sense to me how usually, the people who are bashing weed are the same people getting smashed from alcohol. Hmm, and they say we have a problem.

I love how some people think weed is a gateway drug! Alchohol may be legal, but I was taught, in the DARE program that alchohol is a drug.

So yeah; some might say weed us a gateway drug. I think that in some cases, that's true, but not many.

On the other hand, alchohol is the one that leads tomore, worse drugs. Period.

This is totally right, weed doesnt stop you from what you have to do as alcohol does.

Either can be a problem in excess. Assuming you're using it responsibly do what feels good to you. Arguing which is better just adds to your stress - which is silly since we're all trying to relax.

Its not a gateway, otherwise how do you explain all the people that use marijuana and refuse to use anything else, even alcohol, just as myself? The only reason the "gate way theory" is even out there is because prohibition forced people to buy marijuana from the same people that sold hard drugs, thats it. If you were to outlaw alcohol and force people to buy it from meth dealers, then alcohol would be considered a gateway drug. If were talking about the first drug ever tried by people, then I would look at caffeine and alcohol, not marijuana, the gate way thing holds no water at all.

put it this way man i smoke weed everyday and i have been for a long time, if i was drinking everyday i would be a living wreck, being an alcoholic is one of the worst addictions ever so many people are addicted to it and messed up they beat they're family's and dont work, smokeing weed everyday doesbt make you too lazy to work i go to work high, im like you i pay the bills and everything i live a stable life

Weed is not good for you. I think like alcohol a small amount is not harmful. Heavy weed use causes brain damage. A psychiatrist friend told me that.

I started smoking weed about 3 years ago, i kinda regret it, but i have no idea what the hell id do without it. I have never been much of a drinker, so i cant say which is worse. Ive deffo been drunk many times though, i prefer smoking weed.. Easier, quicker, nicer..

But let me just say, tiredness, munchies and bein happy arnt the only effects lol... Memory is a thing ive noticed. I can remember the things i want too, but if the teacher at college gives me instructions on how to do such a thing, ill understand it. As soon as he walks away, ill be like "what the fuck did he just tell me?" .. an as soon as i think of that, i mase well just wait till my next break, cause i know no work is gonna be done.

I feel asthough weed is ruining my college. I have always been confident that im clever in generall life. As in i act well to things, i choose the right decisions ect ect.. But weed deffinetly does have an effect on you, but i dont know how much of it you need to smoke to realise it. I been smoking about 4 - 6 joints a day to my self for the past year.. And believe me when i say it, I notice the difference.

But, i think if i had been drinking for as long as id be smoking, I probably wouldnt even be writing this..

Weed can be good, but it also makes me depressed at times, an i start thinking bad thoughts. But, in a way thats a good, positive thing. Because bad thoughts warn you, and tell you to do something about the situation.

weed is a shit high. just makes you paranoid. and you really don't know where things will go or how you'll feel. the best is having a few beers and then 2-3 tokes.

Oh god this is one of those topics that will get ppl goin. I always boil this argument down to this, has anyone ever heard of an abusive pothead father, who beats on his wife and verbally abuses the children? No, it's alcoholics, weed doesn't make you lose control, you never wake up from a long night of smoking and think "oh god, what did I do?" it's just not that kind of drug. It WILL however make some ppl, get fat (due to laziness and munchies = pizza delivery) it can cost ya if you smoke as much as some do. But other than that, IMO weed is a much more social, mellow drug, that can be enjoyed by most. No it's not "addictive" but you CAN develop a slight dependancy, sleep troubles, appetite , etc. But those shouldn't last long once you've stopped smoking for a week or so

Both have their "bad" sides but I agree that alcohol is worse. A few years back I was a police officer and keptthe same mind set. Alcohol was a complete no no but if someone had a joint I just destroyed it and wrote them a ticket..no jail time. In the states I worked in it was the officers discretion.

yes it is totally normal. weed is way less dangerous than alcohol. people don't kill people while high on marijuana, when they are drunk on the other hand..

Definately normal. And I totally agree. Weed should be legalized and made so that you have to be 21 if need be. Same as the drinking age. Because alcohol is dangerous. Weed isn't. As the saying goes "I got high, and no one died. TRUTH"

Both weed and alcohol are bad for you. The only reason alcohol is legal is because the toothpaste is already out of the tube and would be impossible to make illegal. We so don't need any more legalized drugs out there. It already sucks bad enough that my tax dollars are going to have to help take care of all these addicts under Obamacare. Let's not encourage people

maybe weed is better for you, but alcohol is definitely a better 'high.'
