I was out and about when I heard someone singing real loud. His voice wasn't bad and it echoed through the streets. He was singing "we don't need another hero" by tina turner. Only, he got the lyrics wrong. So now I have that song stuck in my head, wrong lyrics and everything. IIN?
What part of the lyrics did he get wrong? Because now that the damage is done and you put the song in MY head, I want the full-blown damage, please.
OMG! Please put me out of my misery! It's been almost a whole day and I still have the damn song in my head with the correct lyrics trying to sing whatever the misheard lyrics were! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Noooo! I rate you a 10 on that evil scale. First I sighed in relief. Then I bitched about all the lyrics I made up when it really was THAT simple. Now, precisely because of it, I feel it's just going to get worse in my head. Fuck.
I love that song, too. My Dad had mix CDs of '70s-'90s music that he played in his truck all of the time and to be honest, my taste in music hasn't deviated much.
That song was on one of his CD's. I almost died of happiness when I found his cache after he moved out.
Looking at the title, I thought this was going to be a dramatic post but it's about a Tina Turner song.
It happened to me with "American Pie". I listened to the Weird Al version and now, whenever I think of that song, I think "Ohhh myyyy myyyy Mr. Anakin guy" and every time I try to sing it, I end up singing the Weird Al version.
I must have been doing this for many years because I didn't notice until my husband, who is a huge Weird Al fan, caught me and laughed at me for it :(

I thought this was about another "Guitar Hero" game they were about to release that we really didn't need.
I really don't like that franchise.
Whenever I get a song stuck in my head I listen to it a few times and it goes away.
