Of course I shower, and maintain my body, but then again why bother to clean our bodies if we will die and soon decompose. Yes, it's different for those that are cremated, but our bodies will rot and smell anyway when we die. So what's the point of keeping it clean?

You have to maintain your body while you are alive.
When alive, you have to interact with others and good hygiene is number one on the list of etiquette.
You sound quite depressed, like you're just waiting for the worms to gobble you up in the ground.
In addition to your point, our bodies are literally filled with shit. So we might as well smear it on ourselves.
So you don't get mistaken for dead and to avoid someone shoveling dirt in your face when you're just taking a nap.

a) decay and rot before you die.
-or-
b) prevent decay and rot, until after your death.
I picked option b.
You will expire faster if you neglect yourself. Slowly dying from an untreated infection caused by poor hygiene is painful and confusing. Even if you get it treated, it'll reoccur if you continue those bad habits.
Because you have to go to work, maintain relationships and be in public and it’s bad manners to be stinking like shit all the time. Nothing really matters but there’s some stuff we just have to do.
Lol I don’t think death should be an excuse not to maintain personal hygiene but I do understand you in a way though
