I have had my tonsils out about 3 weeks ago and it really hurt! All my friends told me it doesnt hurt! But its ment to hurt m ore the older you get!
Anyway, everytime I drink, not out of a cup but out of a water fountain or a tap, the water goes in my mouth, I start to swallow and it all comes running out of my nose! Normal or not? And if not do you know what I should do?
Whatever is going on, it has nothing directly to do with having your tonsils removed, unless your pain is forcing you to close your throat so the water has to come out your nose. I suppose you could join a circus as a sideshow freak. A whole new profession.
You probably had your adenoids removed as well. If that is the case, this is completely normal. It'll take you some time getting used to now having to cover that area with your tongue while drinking to prevent liquids from going up and out of your nose.
If you exhale while drinking it thats prob why like when u drink something and laugh
fuck those dr's, they do the devils work, both my parents had theirs out and seem to cope with drinking fine but you know ive never asked if it hurts them. now as for it coming out your nose, your sinuses are things that connect your nose mouth and ears and if you try hard enough you can blow your eardrum out and i think you could get the water to come out your ear by holding your nose and shutting your mouth when you got a mouthful. The long and short of it, stick with a cup and youll be fine.
I think you should see an ear, nose, throat doctor. It's probably something to do with your sinuses.
