Was this flirting?

Today I was in one of my college's buildings reading a newspaper when this girl who was passing by said hi, I responded back and we quickly were in a casual conversation. As the small talk continued she sat down next to me and we kept talking, I assumed she knew me, from a class or something, but I couldn't recognize her, which doesn't really mean anything, I suck at remembering names and faces. As our small talk continued she constantly kept direct eye contact, and kept slowly inching closer to me, and her hand kept nearly touching mine, the final thing that happened before someone who I knew came along and cut in was that she lightly brushed my hand with one of her fingers.

Now I know I'm usually an oblivious person to these sorts of things but this seemed like very obvious flirting to me. My friends who I told later think that I'm over thinking it and the person who cut in earlier said that the girl was a lesbian with a girlfriend, though this person is also a compulsive liar so I don't know if they're telling the truth or not.

I already have a girlfriend so I'm not interested in this girl but I'm curious if she was indeed flirting or not, since I normally have trouble deciphering these things.

yes she was flirting 47
no she wasn't 11

Intresting question mate, definately a welcome break from all the ridicilous troll posts.
I think she was flirting with you.Women rarely make the first move.Unlike us they wont tell you directly they want you but rather the will give you subtle cues which you are somehow expected to deciper. If she's hot she's given you an invitation to fuck the silliness out of her.Cheers mate.

If that was me, I would already be telling her, "damn you got an assume pussy, but I have to go after you cook me breakfast!

I think she's more comfortable around females so maybe? It depends on what you talked about I think..

Anytime a girl makes her presence near YOU she's got some chemistry going on, pheromones and simple primal instinct of physical attraction, you shoulda said, we should go do this, any activity basically. But both my ex wives approached me, and they were both crazy and manipulative. So your better of approaching a girl yourself who will reject you a few times before you get any where, chances are she will be worth the extra effort. Get on BitTorrent and get a ebook called how to dominate, it teaches you how to react in any situation and how to maintain a level of mystery to keep a girl intrigued by you and how to build comfort and not look like a creep or a nerd. Nerd bulge are marginal. Don't be ross from friends, remember his girl goes lesbian and he becomes a "cuck" Google that. Don't be a cuck. Be someone with as much confidence and humor without coming across as arrogant.

Flirting is a matter of opinion sadly, so you'll never know until you ask her.

Wrong, she was flirting. Some people will deny flirting even as they stick their tongue down your throat

You're talking about liars; the kind of people who will consent to sex, then cry rape after if they regret it. Also, kissing isn't flirting, it's just kissing.

What I'm talking about are the men and women who mistake friendliness or people being nice/kind as flirting. As in, if I were to find some guy from class interesting and spark up a conversation with him, I would see it as making a new friend, he might see it as me flirting. In the end, unless it's super obvious, you'll never truly know until you ask.

If you don't know, then it obviously wasn't very well done, was it?

Is that supposed to be some kind of put down these days? Are you stuck in the 70's or just a moron?

He said he usually doesn't pick up on those kinds of things, so he wouldn't know anyway. That's why he's asking.

He should be asking the girl, not us.

Like we were there and saw the exchange? Really? Anyway, if he's got a girl, why does he care?

He described to us what happened. He may want to know to push this girl away if she is, and not give her the wrong idea.

Perhaps you are right. It all seems so illogical to me.
