Okay so. 2 months ago I met a guy in my French class. I have the biggest crush on him and wanted to ask him out but it would be so random and i'm kinda shy so i decided to ask if he wanted to see a movie with me and my friend we had a really nice time and we went to this sport tournament (again with my friend) Last week i just wanted to go for it and i asked if he wanted to hang out just with me.

We went to a Christmas market and he bought some gifts for his parents (they live abroad and he'll be visiting them soon) we went to a bar to get a drink and we basically sat there for a few hours. After that we just basically walked for another hour and talked and talked... I tried to flirt (played with my hair, smiled the whole time etc) and he did laugh and asked me questions about me so i kinda think he was interested?

He dropped me at the train station and he asked me to hang out again once he's back from his parents. I was so happy so i was like 'really, you want to?'' And then he was like yeah why not!

Now my question is, do you think this was a date? And that there's at least a bit of interest?

    It wasn't a date. You two just hung out and seemingly enjoyed yourselves. For now, just leave it at that and see how things go from here. Overthinking it will only unnecessarily complicate something that's supposed to flow naturally.
    And, yes, he sounds interested in you.

    I'd see that as a date and I don't understand why some contributors don't see it that way: does it have to be specifically called "A DATE" to be one?

    Please, forget about the trying to flirt, playing with your hair and so on ..... just be yourself and don't playact.

    It's only a date if both parties agreed to it, were aware it would be one, or made plans for it.
