Was it normal for artists to paint on drugs at a certain time period

Next time you make a bald-assed assertion do it based on some research. You hardly approached this in a scholarly way. What do you expect "A" for asinine?

i used to be a writer on drugs..

but i don't think the artistic temperament--all things considered--goes well with drugs. the imagination is too big and the mind too self-reflexive to be able to handle all of that interior re-decorating and re-working. we are already pretty messed up people.

but as for drugs--Witkacy (polish surreal painter) did them for sure and made sure to include which ones he did on all of his paintings (notably, he enjoyed Peyote).

I agree with you, but you should try to research it.

Not only artist, but also writers were all on drugs, that's why they had those ideas (there's a huge difference between being creative and doing those thing).

At least more than half of the artists have done their art while on drugs. I take pictures and have taken pictures while on weed and find it to be much more fun and tend to be much more creative. It's just that artists see the world in a different way, and they always want to make each and every moment of their life interesting.
