Was it just a dream??!

ok a brief rundown} I have experience strange things while sleeping throughout my life a handful of times, what usually occurs is that I am waking from sleep and I find that I CANNOT MOVE, usually I am terrified for no reason and after a few seconds it goes away..well the other night this happened again, only this time the feeling of terror was much more intense, I remember waking up already feeling scared, I could not move and I look above me and see some sort of cloaked entity hoovering above me! (I know it sounds crazy but Im not crazy!!) anyway of corse i was terrified I could feel myself shaking because my first instinct was to get up and run out of there but I could not move or speak, and in my mind it was a demon..I kept blinking trying to make it go away ...I was so scared and I could just feel evil all around me, well this must of lasted no more that a few minutes maybe even seconds but after I regained the ability to move the image vanished and the terror went away (although the shock and fear of what had just happened was still lingering) anyway after this episode I vigorously began searchig online for an explanation, I came to the conclusion it was "sleep paralysis" the it is so common to see demons while experiencing this that they call it the sleep demon!! I was shocked!! the medical world gives it a snub as if it is totally normal for people all across the world from different upbringings and cultures to see the same exact thing!! So my question is how many people believe that sleep paralysis is all a trickery of the mind like they say? Has anyone else out there experienced this? (I also found that RH-Negative people like myself are more inclined to experience something like this,I discovered I was RH-NEG after my first pregnancy and thought nothing of it until now, strange how the pieces are falling together but at the same time if you are RH-NEG wow, that is a whole nother rabbit hole to jump down in itself it turns out, but afer all this now I just feel lost and so out of place :(

Demons? Wtf. No, it's nothing like that. Don't fight it, try to remain calm when it happens. I get these pretty often and I learned that fighting makes it worse. You're half-asleep in this state, so you're imagining the 'demons'. Yes, it is scary, but it helps to know you're not in danger. There are some severe cases out there, I guess, but that's probably not you or I.

This is called Sleep Paralysis. It only happens when you sleep on your back. Quit sleeping on your back.

@anonJLH It can happen when you sleep on your side too. The supine position just makes it more likely to happen.

I experience the same thing. It's very, very intense sometimes, but the "demons" you are seeing aren't real. And don't feel out of place. It's a normal thing... That just feels really abnormal and scary. Lol But it's true that you are half asleep and sometimes seconds can seem like minutes when you're half asleep. When I get sleep paralysis I don't see demons, but God damn do I panic. Lol

This used to happen to me all the time, for years. The medical world calls it sleep paralyzes but we know it's much more than that. I did a little research and found these experiences go way back in history. It can happen to men or women. These shadowy figures are in fact demons. They are called the sucubis and incubus. The reason I had these experiences was because I was learning things of the occult. I was studying divination, tarot card reading, astrology, doing psychic exercises, ect. For a long time I didn't want to sleep. I became an insomniac. I could only sleep in the middle of the day in a room with fully opened windows and all lights on and with people in the room. Also, I slept on my side or stomach, never on my back. Later on in life I became a Christian and gave my life to Jesus Christ. If you believe in Jesus, the next time you have this experience say in your mind, " In the name of my Lord and savior, I command you to leave my presence. You have no power over me. Jesus, bind these unclean spirits and send them back to the abyss." Trust me, you will automatically snap right out of your paralyzes. You can also say a prayer. They can paralyze your body and mouth, but they can not paralyze your mind and your thoughts. After doing this myself, I never again had any problems.

I get the paralysis all the time, i find it happens more when I'm more scared it will happen, so being scared seems to bring it on more. Usually it's just the not being able to move or talk but once i did have the demon figure above me but it more looked like a a ghostly figure or a kind of common image of an alien. I know weird right. but it scared the hell out of me. I also find if it is happening to me and someone touches me on the shoulder or something i snap out of it suddenly. it is very scary but you will be ok. I read somewhere that if it happens a lot getting up and walking around will help, i dont know if it does but if not for any other reason it will calm you down. good luck
