Was i trying to die?

Is it normal to have taken an overdose of acetaminophen on purpose? 7 years ago (when I was 14) I took sixteen 500mg (8,000mg in all) acetaminophen pills. To this day, I still don't really know why I did it. A cry for help, perhaps (I suffer from depression). I always say "just wanted to know what would happen."
I know a recommended dose is between 2,000-4,000 mg a day, and that I wasn't close to dying. I knocked out and threw up a lot the next day.
Recently I was talking to a friend, and the overdose incident came up. When I said "I really don't know why I did it," My friend replied, "oh, I thought you were trying to kill yourself." It's odd to me that for 7 years she believed it was a suicide attempt.

I want to know how other people feel about the incident.
How do you perceive it?
Have you done something similar?

You are okay now that is what is important and you can start sucking cocks if you like. Everybody has to be good at something and I hear you are good at that.

Well, I don't know you personally so, it's impossible for me to say how the incident affected me. I have tried/contemplated about committing suicide in the past many a time. At the those times, when I failed to do so, I would get so upset with myself for chickening out. However when I look back now, I'm sometimes glad I didn't do it then because I would have missed out on so many things like knowing such great users on this site yet had I done it, I would have been able to avoid a lot of bad things.

If you had intended to die, that thought would have been very clear in your head and you'd have no query about it. Maybe you were depressed and it was a cry for help, maybe you didnt really mind whta happened either way. But if it had been a bonafide suicide attempt, you would know.

That happened 7 years ago, you were young and maybe reckless. Regardless of why you did it, fortunately you're still alive and now you're older, maturer and wiser so forget about it and enjoy your life.
