    Whenever I / someone I know likes someone much older, I joke that it's a "daddy issues" attraction.

    But in all honesty, people are attracted to different things, and liking older men is perfectly normal. Also, do you admire them as a person, and wish you had a male role model, or is actual attraction?

      That's why I'm confused; I both admire them and am sexually attracted to them. I want to impress them.

        I feel the same. I think lots of older men are more confident and settled in life in general so that's appealing.
