There is this girl I was growing pretty fond of and I definitely wanted to be her friend. I had an assumption she was single from the way she talked and said some things, and even acted

But then today I saw her hugging/leaning her head over another guy (presumably her bf) and not only did that make me a little angry for no reason but I also have given up on her and want nothing to do with her anymore

is it normal to have such a response and reaction?

    I guess it's pretty normal, but I think you subconsciously wanted to date her, not just be her friend. Otherwise, you wouldn't feel so affected by it.
