If a woman not wanting to have a child was a viable method of birth-control, there would be a lot fewer people in the world today. If neither of you are using any form of birth-control and you're ejaculating in her vagina, you can be pretty damn sure she will get pregnant, sooner or later.

You seem to agree that you're not in a position to have a child, but I suspect you don't truly understand what having a kid is like. A couple is never the same after the arrival of a child. If they did continue as before, they would be irresponsible and totally crap parents.

A lot of parents aren't very honest about the impact of children on relationships. They love their child (or children) very much, so it's very difficult to admit that their arrival turned their lives upside down and stopped them from doing a lot of things they would have otherwise done. Children are also responsible for a lot of tension between parents, since it's normal for them to not always be on the same page when it comes to how best to raise a child. And, over the years, kids cost a whole shit-load of money.

In short, it's pretty damn stupid to ignore the consequences of pregnancy and just "enjoy the moment".
