Waking up to a bone grinding episode

My girl (love her to death) grinds her teeth bad at night. I HATE this noise! I almost slapped her in reflex to that noise. I let her know this and gets pissed off like i insulted her. I wanna get her a bed time mouth guard or some shit i cant take that shit. Almost enough to want to be single again. IIN?

your girlfriend isn't aware she is grinding her teeth in her sleep. she needs to get a mouth guard for both your sakes.

Get her a night mouth guard and tell her the medical implications of grinding teeth. That way Maybe it'll come off like you're doing it more for her than for you.
Or tell her it's annoying as fuck.

A friend of mine had exactly the same problem. Although his girlfriend was fabulous and the best course of action for him was to deal with it.

I do it! I wake up with terrible headaches from the pressure of doing it! O just recently got a guard to help it, it's an easy process, just get her down to the dentist, and they will help

Bruxism is not healthy. It can wear away the enamel and even chip the teeth. You really should get her a mouth guard, if only so she doesn't have worse problems in the future.

Also, not knowing how you spoke to her about this, I don't know if you were coming off as sharp, or she was just being sensitive, but did you take a neutral approach to bringing up the subject, like, "You grind your teeth a lot at night, and I'm concerned," rather than "Your teeth grinding is really irritating, so cut it out!"?

I can't even imagine what that sounds like. Must be horrible. How can that even make a sound at all. Hope she gets to see a dentist soon. On the brighter side though, she likely wakes up to you grinding your bone one her thighs on the regular so it just might balance out. ho. Bada Bing

She could have TMJ. Get her in to the dentist.
