Voting age

Would you or would you not support raising the voting age in America?

For the sake of discussion, I'd say 30, although 25 could be argued also.

Basically what this eliminates is the idiotic liberal college students who vote exactly how the media tells them or their liberal professors tell them to vote. If you aren't working a job and paying taxes you should not have a say in how those same tax dollars are spent.

Don't think that would solve anything. I've met plenty of liberals morons who were over 30. And not all college kids are liberal. It depends on the region.

I believe it's mostly the immigrants who pose a threat since they disproportionately vote for far-left politicians because they want to receive automatic citizenship and all the perks that come with it. Not to mention the laws regarding anchor babies. They could use a little tweaking.

There are too many immigrants, I agree. We sure as Hell don't need Syrians coming here for freebies then thanking us with terrorist attacks. When my family came here most recently from Wales and Colombia they didn't seek, receive or expect handouts. If people are gonna come here they NEED to speak English and assimilate!

I'm so tired of traitorous liberals who want to destroy the country from within by welcoming people who hate us with open arms! Barrack Obama is a very traitors president. The founding fathers are rolling over in their graves.

I don't really care if immigrants want to assimilate or not. The fact of the matter is most of them come from inferior, regressive cultures. Most of them don't have the same potential, but some do.Immigration acceptance should be done selectively
Besides,I don't trust politicians at all regardless of what side of the spectrum they are. Because when it comes down to it, they're gonna implement policies to fit their own interests first, But we don't really have a lot of options. I guess we can only choose the lesser of two evils.

And fuck the Karma system! Have to switch between accounts. DAMN IT!

Especially the Muslims they've turned Sweden into a rape capital!

        • Yeah the Karma thing is real irritating, I had to create multiple accounts just to use the site and then say a bunch of "touchy feely" bullshit nonsense just to get enough Karma to comment more than 8 times a day.

          Very astute comment. Thank you.

I doubt anyone in INN history has burned through the amount of accounts I have within a 3 month time period.

I boast now at about 1.7 accounts disabled daily within the past week.

I can create an account LITERALLY with my eyes closed. I know what is where, when to hit the tab key, when to hit space bar, when to paste the fake email address and when to hit enter. I create 8 to 10 accounts at a time out of thin air.

It takes me an average of 15 seconds or less to create an account. I again boast, "half the time it takes to create an account is website load time"... because I'm a bad azz motha fucka

I gave you a thumb up. Nice to hear your carefully reasoned opinions every now and then.

Unless your joking (which I dont think you are), how do you personally know that each and every Syrian refugee hates the US and wants to "thank us with terrorist attacks"?

I'm sure they don't all want to thank us with terrorist attacks, but it's just not worth taking the chance. If they want to be refugees why don't they present themselves at some Muslim countries where they share their religion and culture?

Thanks for your support! As you can already see the douchebag bleeding hearts are already thumbing me down.

Here's a great article my sister sent me:

"Europe and the US should take advice from Japan, because Japan is doing the right thing when it comes to refugees. Read the whole article below and you will see what I mean."

People are thumbing that comment down because you are being just as bad as the terrorists. You would persecute innocent refugees.

Of course, there should be screening, but you would put everyone under the same blanket here. Unless they're white, I guess.

No point in me saying, the OP seems to have already deleted someone who disagreed with you.

Good for OP, it's his or her prerogative as it's OP'S post. Besides I don't want to see my country turn into another Sweden. I think any country has the right to close it's borders.

I'm having a lot of love and respect for Japan these days!

An Australian criticizing a country for persecuting refugees. That's pretty funny.

It's not like your country locks up innocent refugees in detention centers offshore and subjects them to sexual abuse and other inhumane treatment, is it?

Affluence and science cause religion to die. I vote in favor of that.

No, they should abolish the voting age and replace it with a competency test.

I say any age can vote. But you must first pass a test showing you understand where the candidates stand on the issues. So many Americans vote for D or R just because they always have or that's what their family does.

    • Very few children, if any, would be able to pass that test. I know grown women who work high paying jobs who just throw up their hands regarding politics. You pay taxes, well take the time to properly exercise the right given to you to select who makes government decisions regarding those tax dollars.

I do agree with you regarding the 2 party system, it makes voting outside of that seem to be a waste.

      Welcome back.

Plenty of middle aged people don't know anything about the candidates. That's why Trump, Carson, Clinton and Sanders are in the top 4. The same reason the best we could do in the past 15 years is Obama and W. How sad.
