It annoys me how Virginia isnt considered the south. It was the capital of the confederate states. It has deep southern culture. West Virginia, and Kentucky are the south too.

    Virginia is south!!! Till all them dang pansies liberals dems move to the upper part of state.now they want to change it to be part of north since DC is trying to become 53th state. It's bunch of horse shit!!!

    I’m a Virginian and I hear it a lot too. Mostly by uneducated people. And then when you explain that Virginia was the head of the confederacy and the state literally split so Virginia could remain confederate, it sounds like you’re bragging. But it’s just facts. 🤷🏾‍♀️

    I've always thought anything below the Mason-Dixson Line is considered to be The South.

    So who says Virginia isn't in the south?

    The magnitic poles of the earth switch every sevearl million years...

    For now and recorded history of mankind Virginia is in the southern part of the USA.

    After the next flip of the magnetic poles it will be in the northern part of the USA.

    Give it time folks...

    ps: I doubt I will live long enough to see the next magnetic pole switch...
