Views on men, women, gender issues, relationships and sexuality

You probably have some opinions on men, women or gender issues in general as well some opinions on relationships and sexuality. It is quite likely that some people have opinions on these issues which are similar to your own. Do you think that there are more men or more women whose views in this regard are similar to yours?

I think there are more men with views similar to mine - I'm female 11
I think there are more women with views similar to mine - I'm female 16
I think there are more men with views similar to mine - I'm male 30
I think there are more women with views similar to mine - I'm male 19

Quite a lot of users on the site have very similar views to my own, and I'd say it's an even mix, gender wise. As for real life, I'm not entirely sure. The first people to pop to mind were mainly female, and I know quite a few who are a bit sexist, in favour of women, but also some against women. I often find sexism repulsive and I tend to pipe in with my opinions telling them that I think they're wrong:P. I do see it from both genders, and these people tend to say they weren't being completely serious. I'm not really sure who I tend to agree with more.

As for my opinions, I'm just for there being more equality where there should be equality. I really dislike views which are heavily in favour of women or heavily in favour of men.

As for relationships and sexuality, what exactly are you asking? This is all pretty vague:P. Um, I don't know, I just think people should just do what they want if it makes them happy and if it's healthy and doesn't hurt anybody. My outlook on things tends to be very simple, and I think that some people complicate things too much.

    My beliefs are pretty simple.

We should all be held to the same moral standards.

We should perform our roles well, whether it be as a stay at home Mom, stay at home Dad, working girlfriend etc. I don't think equal effort within the household can be measured, strictly, in how much money one brings home. I think a stay at home parent who works hard deserves as much credit as the parent that works outside of the home.

I think a lot of women (in most developed countries) need to realize that they can't completely blame men for their actions or poor lot in life. Not when there are so many resources available to us. They need to realize that dressing immodestly and acting immodestly may gain male attention, but it won't gain a man's respect.

I think men need to realize that their children won't be fed by excuses, that their stories about how their Mom tricked them into thinking they were on birth control won't clothe their children and that no matter how evil or disgusting the mother is, their children should not have to pay for that and are completely innocent.

I don't believe in the draft. Not for men, not for women. Forced conscription into the military is barbaric. Forcing men and women to die for a cause they don't believe in is disgusting. If you can't even fool people into believing that the cause is worthy enough to fight for, then maybe you should re-examine your public policies rather than forcing the young and talented of your country to deliver themselves for sacrifice like sheep on the altar.

Regarding sexuality, I don't think we, as a society, are quite ready for full on freedom of sexual expression, not when there are still so many of our population that don't properly use birth control or have the necessary knowledge to understand the risks of sexual behavior and act in a manner in which they would benefit. However, I think that sexuality, when done with the proper protection and regard for safety, is a beautiful thing. I think sexuality is only to be condemned when practiced irresponsibly (without protection or knowledge of the risks).

    Yeah.

Only other Martians could possibly understand my personal views on these issues and you didn't include us in your survey questions.
For one thing, our sex organs are in the palm of our hands so if I shake your hand, I sometimes ejaculate out my ears. That's just one of many problems we encounter interfacing with Earthlings of either sex.

My conclusions about attraction are some that I have actually developed myself so I think they are pretty much unique.
