Video games

Whenever given a choice, to be good or bad, in games I can't help but working on the side of good. When playing Fallout 3 I decided I'd be bad and I nuked the post-apocalyptic town "Megaton." Later in the game people tell me that they know what I did, which made me feel guilty. Later, because of this terrible deed, a bounty is placed on me. I eventually restarted my game, out of guilt, and did everything I could to be a proper citizen of Post-apocalyptic Washington DC. IIN?

Thats fucking funny. Im the same way, I always choose good. In WWF Smackdown I had to be a fan favorite. In the Maddens superstar mode I always answered the questions that were more team orientated in response. In DC Universe online I chose the hero side because fuck Lex Luther.
all except Dark Souls. In dark souls I worked my ass off as the chosen undead to relight the first kiln. But after I killed Gwyn(final boss) I didnt know what the fuck to do and I walked away from the bon fire by accident and chose the dark ending. I was pretty devestated as it automatically saved.

With Fallout I tend to be 'good' the first playthrough, 'evil' the second time, 'neutral' the third time and then after that just do whatever I feel like and align with whomever. I can't play a game for the first time and be evil.

It's normal. I have a gamer friend who is the same way. It just means that people like you guys are sensitive/caring (which, as a woman, are qualities I appreciate in a man).

I usually am more neutral in games unless they only give me the option to be good or bad. In those cases it depends on many factors like what game it is, what kind of character I'm playing, what kind of outcome will this action have, and my general mood.

For example, I have always played the mass Effect games as a good (or paragon) character. With the role you are playing it doesn't make a lot of sense to be evil. Although there are occasional exceptions to this. Depends on the situation that is happening in the game.
Other games like Fable I ALWAYS go evil.
And games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls I am more of a neutral character. I do everything to suit myself and I help people if it benefits me.

ApocalypseClue plays Oblivion/Skyrims as a serial killer.

I always play on the good side first. Then I play on the evil side when I beat the game so I can run around and cause mayhem!

Im the same way. Something just makes me feel guilty in like skyrim or oblivion. I feel bad if i say something mean. But i still break in places at night.

I like games that give you the choice between bad and good. I think there's been only three games that I have played with such a system. 1. Baroque 2. Shadow The Hedgehog and 3. Epic Mickey

Baroque is straight up strange for a variety of reasons... There are a variety of multiple endings based on your actions in the game. I tend to play both good and bad evenly, though.

In Shadow's solo debut I LOVE playing on the dark side but I can't stand the look of those creepy aliens.

In Epic Mickey, I have often been torn as to which side I should play on. I've gone to great lengths to repair buildings and such with the "magic paint". Doing so makes me feel proud. However, when fighting against enemies I tend to rely too heavily on paint thinner. When going up against a boss how you play has a very important outcome. If you defeat the boss with mainly paint thinner, your gauge for it will increase. I think the game is set up a tad unfairly because its easier to get the job done with the paint thinner as supposed to the healing paint. The point where I left off I had more paint thinner (green) than magic paint (blue) and it was a pain in the ass to play the game since I was constantly running out of magic paint when I needed it the most. There was apiont in the game where I accidentally destroyed a bridge that I had originally intended to repair. I felt so bad afterwards because the gnome I was helping treated my character as being "shady". In one of the levels, I completely forgot to repair a large section of it and when I released my mistake, it was too late to go back to that world!!!

I'm good the first time I play. If there's a replay then I'll play at the dark side. I wish we could choose between good and evil at Pokemon...

That would be awesome! I think the closest to that is Pokemon Samurai where you can actually Pokemon as tools of destruction.

    Bwahahahahahahahaha!

I lost my 'guilty feelings' a LONG time ago. Probably had something to do with playing Mortal Kombat on the SNES or something XD

Ah, darn! I bet that was a difficult decision! I hope it works out for you in the long run, and you'll probably be able to get a new one someday (if you want to, that is).

          :)

i might be in the minority here but i picture myself in the fallout universe (awesome game btw) as doing what it takes to survive & live as comfortably as i can which in turn makes me "evil" i guess i blew up megaton 1st play thru simply for the fact that in that world its survival of the fittest ya dig?

I can never pickpocket in any game which allows it. I've tried and they're always like, "hey!" I end up feeling guilty and wishing there were someway I could return the spoils.

Have you ever played Sly Cooper? In those games you can pickpocket and your "victim" never turns around and yells at you. They can however catch you in the act and start attacking you:/
