Very weird food cravings

over the past few years I have been trying to ward off and satisfy a craving for hearts. One time I was at the meat market and spotted a beef heart, so I bought it and put it in the freezer for another time. Days when on and I wanted to eat it but I stopped myself because I thought it was kind of weird, so went shopping and saw a pack of gizzards with chicken hearts mixed in. I bought it, cooked them and ate just the hearts and let family eat the gizzards. All I ever want is the hearts. Sometime I think I would eat any heart, animal or human. My mouth waters when I think about it. I think about it and stop myself a lot. This is weird to me, but I can't help myself. What is wrong with me? Tell me is this normal? Seriously I need help.

      Tainted with what? Never had any problems with it except that I don't like the texture of brains

        It's supposed to be filled with pollutants since, many organs filter substances through them. Make sure you cook brains throughly. I hear that there's a dangerous condition you can get if you eat brain meat that has been improperly prepared.

          I don't see how the brain could be filtering any pollutants, although I've trained mine to filter out and ignore unfounded intellect polluting rumours from the internet, especially those which contain such vague statements as "supposed to be ", "I hear" etc: supposed by whom, and where did you hear this information?

    Never tried a heart, but it seems like it would have a nice texture...like liver.And I love liver.
