Hmmm...maybe I need to rewatch that. I remember being quite disappointed and thought it was very boring. Will I be ok :( ?
One Hour Phto was good because of the unexpectedness of it, because he'd always been in comedy up to then! It doesn't really mean it was good... (I did love it at the time, though!)
Robim William's appearance on "Night at the Museum," he was the wax statue of President Theodore Roosevelt.
I don't understand why he would kill himself at the age of 68. He would only have a few years left to live anyways.
I believe that his performance in "Good Morning, Vietnam" really showcased Robin Williams quick witted, off-the-wall comedic style. It served the movie well, and acclaim.
What was great about him was the fact that he didn't do just comedy movies. I can't remember the specific names of these movies, but he took on serious roles and he performed quite well.
"Insomnia" was one of them. I have to agree though, he does play very well in creepy serious roles.
Plus, "Bicentennial Man", which was more drama, I loved that movie quite a bit; rather sad and joyful all in one. I'm not sure what other movies he was serious in though. Oh wait... "Hook" wasn't comedy. :)
In comparison to how many movies he's in, I haven't seen a whole lot of his stuff. My favorite is What Dreams May Come, from what I've seen. I'm not actually a big fan of his, but he was a great actor and he seemed like he actually gave a shit. It's incredibly sad that he commited suicide. I feel genuinely upset about it.
There are too many to name. I just now found out about this through your post OP.
This is so sad. I love most of the movies he was in, I can't believe this happened.
I enjoyed many of the films listed here whether comedy or drama and my favorite was probably "Jumanji".
Im surprised that people say they are shocked though--it is well known that Robin suffered from depression and drug problems for years.
Unfortunately, many times the flip side of manic comedy is depression. Having been suicidal myself I know that in such a state one truly cannot think properly and unless youre being watched 24/7 it is all too easy to harm yourself. Nobody can judge. Im just sorry he wasn't able to overcome his sadness. I wish his family the best.
Definitely Mrs. Doubtfire. That movie is a family/childhood favorite. I was very excited for the second one to come out. It is unfortunate it he had to end it this way, but someone dealing with depression is a very serious illness. It is more than just emotions running from left to right. It takes over you and the person the doesn't know how to control it. It is just a deep level of hopelessness and its scary that I know people who suffer from the illness and sometimes I think I do, too. I want to get diagnosed because all the symptoms that come with it are scary to me since I can relate to them. So Robin Williams just needs to know that he was loved by many but what matters is he needed to love himself, too. He will always make us laugh no matter where he is!
Mrs Doubtfire and Jumanji were my childhood, but I remembered watching What dreams may come in a philosophy lesson and being mesmerized. Such a talented man.
When I was a kid I would've answered Mrs Doubtfire, or Hook, or even Jumanji.
But my adult answer is when he played Parry in The Fisher King.
I can't believe that you (of all people here) wouldn't have said the same as I have! :p
I've wanted to see The Fisher King for years, but could never find it in a store :(
So many. I feel like having a Robin Williams marathon. Top of that list, Hook.
The Birdcage is my ultimate favorite. Him and Nathan Lane as a couple are amazing.
Also, A few days ago I rewatched a movie called "Worlds Greatest Dad". Robin plays a depressed teacher,Who works in a High School which his fuckhead son attends. Everyone hates his son,And one day he finds him dead in his room from autoerotic asphyxiation. That's all I'll tell about it in case anyone wants to watch it,But I will say his performance discovering his son was heartbreaking. Felt so real. It's interesting reflecting on this certain movie, especially with the circumstances surrounding his death... It's on Netflix if anyone wants to see it.
Good morning vietnam,in case you didn't know...
I loved Hook, Jumanji, Popeye, Good Will Hunting and Mrs. Doubtfire. I think i may be forgetting one. Hmm.. oh, Dead poets Society which i haven't seen in ages. And his wax figure in Night at the Museum prolly got all hot and melty with the young Sacagawea. Sick!!!
I found it rather shocking. I wasn't expecting that at all. It's sad and I feel for his family. I hope that wherever he is, that he has found some peace.

I loved him in: Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire (One of my favourite films. It never gets old.), and Aladdin.
Did anyone ever see Flubber? How was it?
