Valentine's day

I disagree about the being alone thing.

V-day is a stupid excuse to sell stuff.
Just like every other holiday now a days.

Only if your alone.

I've never had an official valentine. Maybe that can change next year..we will see..

Valentine's day is just another capitalist celebration which is there just to make money like Christmas so I disagree with it.

Some good celebrations include the anniversary of the October revolution,Dear Leader Kim Jong Il's birthday and Great Leader's Kim Il Sung's Birthday. The anniversary of the Chinese revolution and The anniversary of the founding of the DPRK.

The answer is simple. If you're single, then completely agreed. If you're in a boring or bad relationship, then also agreed. If you're happily in a relationship, then you have problems.

It sucks if your alone but there are many people who are in the same boat. Having a good friend of the opposite sex in the same situation is the best way to have a "not date" and enjoy a night out to avoid the depression.

yeah.. valentine's day really does suck.. Lately it's like Christmas.. all about spending more and more and more money. And the whole idea of valentine's day is gone

I get depressed because it is the middle of winter. I miss the sunshine and spring seems so far away.

its a good day if you have someone to share it with, but still overly commercial. but when youre alone, it sucks.

Google it's history. At one point certain merrages were illegal. A preast by the name of valentine would merry couples in secret. I think it was Cagullia who banned merriage. Might have been all merriges. After he died they named him a saint

As a guy voicing his opinion, I couldn't give two-shits about that day. It is rather lame to spend a whole day being kind when as a whole you may be a kind person all year long.

It's normal to think so if you're alone while everyone else give lovely gifts to one another.

But fuck Valentine's Day; if that's the only day someone express their love to their mate, they're bad lovers who aren't gonna last.

I don't know, to me it is very depressing. Well maybe not depressing but its a joke. even if you do have someone( i don't at this particular moment) it is messed up to dedicate a whole day to love, especially romantic love. the holiday is not about you and your girlfriend finally having an excuse to fuck, its suppose to be about all around love but i just don't feel it. now its just a day to rub it in peoples faces that they don't have anyone but you do, you know,thats fucked up. but i may be wrong

It suck's for single people, because they have to watch all the couples together having a good time.

At the same time it doesnt suck for people who have a ' valentine ' because then they get to spend great quality time together.

It just depends what prespective you are looking from.

love that singles awareness day-- I hated Vday this year.. still in love with my ex he left in oct.. it was hard so I went shopping and bought lots of shit for myself and flowers and candy for my girlfriends that I knew were single too. It's actually a great day to shop with other females and go to lunch or get a pedicure or whatever you like.. Single moms on mothers day - we go out-- eat, get our nails done,shop, etc. it helps and you never know who you might bump into.

i think valentines day is really just another day.
its a day where you you do what you shud do every single day of you life really.

idk. its ur opinion. i personally rejected like, 10 guys on valentines day (all thru txt and email) personally, if they dont have the heart to ask me to my face, they arent worth it. like i said, its ur opinion. i love valentines day!

I don't think that valentine's day is that depressing. I don't have a girlfriend but still, valentine's day isn't the type of day that I get depressed over because others don't have feelings for me. I'm just being emo that way, but it's not as if I expected anything. I mean, at least it's interesting. Course, it's also an excuse to get people to buy more stuff, but every holiday is like that.
