Usernames always change to reflect the current color of a user, why?

But to answer the question...

I would like the colors to stay the same color I was when I posted the comment. This way I could color code my comments and define them in my profile. Then if people saw my comment was in pink, for example, you would know I was being sarcastic. Red might mean I was cranky that day and green may be standard mood. And black means I am clearly not myself.

Feedback on this one seems to be mixed. I think things are going to stay the way they are...

I'm still just a kid myself sometimes =/ I don't know how girls my age do it, having kids, I mean. I mean, I pay bills, I have a job, a car, handle all of my business and the like. I do adult things. I just don't feel like an adult and definitely not adult enough to have kids.

And dude, I have jury duty next month. Jury duty. That's pretty adult, yet I still feel like a kid. And I'll be in my work uniform when I go there because I'll have just gotten off work. That SCREAMS adult. Yet here I am... here I am...

I do think it would be awesome if the color of the username stayed after posting the comment. I have actually been thinking about this for some time now; I think since dappled started his rainbow across IIN.

I might even consider changing my color for the first time since I joined IIN if this actually happens. Well, maybe not.. that takes a lot more effort than I'm willing to agree with.

Anywyas, back to the original question. *Ahem* It really doesn't concern me since I have always, and probably will always, be purple.

Oh, and I'm betting that the highest number of poll options is probably a "where do you live (in the U.S.)" question (i.e. 50 choices). Though, there probably is some poll out there that beats that number. By the way, you only have 44 options.

WHy are all the cool ladies taken or have kids? Maybe they're not, they just say they are as they don't want to talk to someone who still says 'cool'.

I love your poll options and I love that we have creative minds on IIN. I love that the moderators had a sense of humour about it too.

As for the colour stuff, when I change my colour, my old colour stays my older comments until I reply to something in the same story. Although it doesn't stay forever and eventually my new colour spreads through all my posts. I always meant to ask TheManagement about this because it seemed odd to me (I'd expect all posts of the current colour, or all posts to stay the colour at the time of posting, not a kind of halfway house). I don't have any preference, though, and don't mind it however it works.
