Urinating in washroom lavatory (sink) to save money on water usage

Does urinating in the washroom sink in order to save money on water consumption (by not flushing the toilet, which uses about 6 litres of water per flush) have any affect (corrosive or otherwise) on the drainage pipes. I always follow up by running the water in the sink (max. flow) for about 3-4 seconds, wait for the water to flow down through the trap, then run a second time (max. flow) for about 6-7 seconds. I'm saving 4.5 to 5 litres of water every time I urinate! Any comments?

Only normal if you're a female over 300 lbs who does this sort of thing in a public rest room.

Piss in a can. Pour it on a fire hydrant. The dogs will be inspired by your scent.

Just do it out the window, that uses even less water

Maybe I should have went to a Plumber's blog for advice?

I pee all different places, in the sink, outside in the gutter. If you want to, do it.

Plumbers resposes only please. Is it corrosive to drain pipes or not if rinsed adequately?

The drain for the lavatory is usually connected to the toilette soil pipe. The lav. drain is either plastic or brass so peeing in the sink is safe for the system.
Just run the water for 2 or 3 seconds, full blast after you urinate to clear the trap.
What you are doing is very common.
