I personally do not support the notion that humans are monogamous by design or nature. That said you have committed to marriage so you should respect your vows, your wife and live accordingly.

Try to ascertain how you can have your needs met within your marriage. If you can work together with your wife to find a solution it would ultimately be more beneficial to you both than investing in fantasising a relationship with a third party.

Life is too short to be miserable or unrequited. Communicate your needs.

I would say common more so than normal, but hey you're married so forget about it. Don't give in to any stupid urges to sleep with someone else, because cheating is stupid and shitty. Cheaters are shitty people, cause cheating is a shitty thing to do.
