Union of souls

Hello. I have been nursing an idea lately that I have come to love and was wondering if anyone thinks about it too. Do you ever wonder what it would be like if we, as in all of us who post at Is It Normal, got together for a meeting in real life?

Maybe like some kind of convention. I'm not sure what we'd do; perhaps the moderators could set up some games for us and we can pay for T-shirts. I'm sure there would be some fights breaking out, either verbal or physical, but isn't that part of the thrill?

I'm not saying that it would work. I, for one, can't afford a plane ticket anywhere and I'm sure a lot of people here can't either. What do you think of it? Is it normal to want to meet you?

    • I don't think that the false stories would shape my enjoyment of the get-together. If someone has lied (and yes, I agree that many people so) I am not after updates on their situations. I would just like to see everyone together, bonding.

    • Do you mean to say that they shouldn't attend if they are underage?

I think this is very normal. Though I've only been here for a short time, some other posters who post in the rooms I frequent have piqued my interest, and I sometimes wonder what it would b like to chat with them in person. One of the great things about the internet is that it allows you to connect with others all over the world on issues that you may share in common. Unfortunately, this very same fact causes you to feel a sense of connection or revulsion to people whom you are actually only superficially connected to. The time, effort and interaction that is necessary to build a connection should be deeper and more meaningful than a couple of fleeting thoughts, feelings and a keyboard.
