Unexplained weight loss and stomach pains?

Lately, I have noticed that my work pants have seemed a bit roomier. I weighed myself, and I have lost about 7-8 lbs in the past month. I have no way of explaining this weight loss. I don't work out, and I haven't been actively trying to lose this weight. I have also been experiencing some abdominal side pains, mainly on the left side, but sometimes on the right. I don't know if this is something to be worried about, or if I should go and see my doctor. The pains are usually short and stabbing almost, and they come unexpectedly. usually about once or twice a day.
Is all of this normal?

Pleeeease see a doctor! I am actually experiencing a similar ailment. But I believe mines dietary related. If you haven't made any changes to your diet or environment DEF get a check up. Until you know what's going on it could worsen or just worry you more than it needs to. Good luck and get an appointment soon!

Yea I would see a doctor. That could be just me being a hypochondriac, but it doesn't sound normal.

I'd see a doctor. I went through something similar to this when i was younger and it was just the fact that i was growing up and filling out but like the other guy said, it could be some sort of parasite.

Have you changed your diet? Any new medications?

The pains are probably gas, honestly, which makes me think that your diet has changed. Go buy some fiber gummies.

I've recently lost weight too (and expected to gain weight because I've given up smoking). Although my weight loss is explainable (I'm not eating well) yours isn't explained without investigation. Chances are it's nothing, but I'd see the doctor anyway. That's what they're there for.
