My sister in law moved in with my wife and me not too long ago. I have always seen her as a little sister / daughter, very protective of her and always there for her if she needed my help. Recently though, she has matured and is starting to say things and act differently when my wife is out of the house. She'll wear a low cut shirt or a short skirt. Not too long ago she was in the shower and she knew I was going to use it after her. She walked out of the bathroom in just a towel, crossed the hall to her room, and left the door opened a crack. All these little "hints" or "signs" only happen when her older sister, my wife, is out of the house. She's 15 and I am doing everything I can to ignore her while she does these things and am finding it hard to be alone with her. My brain says NO! DON'T BE FUCKING MORON!... But that other part of my brain telling me to act is getting louder and louder.

      Or maybe it's not. I've done stuff like that, completely on purpose.. I'm not saying it's wise though. Completely the opposite. Teenage girls are not so stupid, not to know how to get attention. But it might be that he's imagining it all, and that she doesn't do it on purpose after all.

    Be aware that she's underage and you're the adult. If you two do something and it comes to light it's going to be your fault. Plus, if you had a 15 year old daughter you wouldn't want any man your age to have sex with her.

    Its not exactly a normal situation but not surprising either.

    Clearly you know it would be wrong to do anything with her on multiple levels. It would be an incredibly stupid move on so many levels: you could end up hurting her, destroying your marriage, going to prison, being classified as a sex offender, losing your job, losing many of your friends...the list goes on and on. All that and she's only been lightly flirting with you, there is no clear indication she wants to take things further. Plus you need to consider the possibility she could be trying to "get back at you" for something (maybe being too protective in her mind). It's unlikely but should be considered.

    I think the obvious answer is to avoid being alone with her as much as possible, and when you know you will be... *ahem* "clean your pipes" beforehand so as to decrease your sex drive. Additionally, go over the consequences, think your wife, etc. as much as you need to in order to dissuade yourself from ruining your life. I don't think there's any likely way it could turn out well anyhow. Seriously, get a grip man.

    All that is assuming OP is not a troll which I'm pretty sure he is.

    Its normal for her to be playfully flirting, as at that age a lot of girls are really just discovering flirting (and how men react), so they experiment with it. It does *not* mean she's ready for sex.
    And even if she was, it should not be with you for all the reasons you already know. ;)
    You're the adult, its up to you to control your desires and/or distance yourself from the situation.
    You're going to need that same control for when/if you have a daughter.

      I agree, but do have to play devil advocate.

If it is strictly an incest/cheating on wife/underage thing; culture and morals aren't always uptight American standard. Also need to point out that a regular boy will break her heart, so why not let her first be with family, since family will always love her.

      Basically same argument for if he ever has a daughter. Obviously there are tons of what-if situations I can think up that would severely challenge even the strongest morally and culturally ingrained person. This could be a chance to get some practice in.

        Its ok, I like devil's advocate too. ;)
        My thought processes would be a *little* different if she were actually initiating a sexual *act* with him (which at least indicates a more sexually aware person), but so far all we know she's done is... dress skimpy, walk across a hall in a towel, leave a door open a crack, and do a little flirting. These are not 'go ahead' signs for an older man (I'd feel the same if the genders were reversed btw) to become a sexual initiator. These are the same sorts of actions even an 8 year old girl (or younger) might do.
        As for the latter part of the comment, I'm not one to care much for societal/cultural pressures on people's actions. The reasons 'he already knows' are the reasons that are making *his* brain scream NO! at him.
